I've personally never heard this album but I think it's one
of the coolest album names of all time.

this is the point where you tell me how good/bad the album
is ;)

I love the cover. And "If it really is me" is on this one
isn't it?

unfortunately the title is cooler than the album, but still
a RDJ release worth buying. on a scale of 1-10 for richard's
releases only i'd give it about a 5 or 6. on an
overall scale i'd give it a 7.

It's a bit harsh in places

i may eventually buy it, that is, if I can FIND it, but I
want to get druqks and come to daddy first.

surfing on sine waves is dull, only quoth is good. caustic
window is miles better

hmm... i dont know which I would rather buy first... SOSW
would probably be easier to get now than later, but i know I
wont be dissapointed with druqks becuase ive heard it all,
but I havent heard SOSW.

I agree Castic Window finds my CD palyer more often..but
Polygon Window is a way for me to enjoy some of these
admiteddly great Ambient textures that I snooze through in
S.A.WII...because there's a cool beat to them..here...

I really like SOSW.

Try d/l some mp3's of it, or listen to some of the samples
on this site.

It was one of the first aphex cd's I bought, and though I
don't listen to it much these days, It's still a quality
release from rdj. Polygon Window and Audax Powder are both
great tracks, track 7 is good two, and quino-phec is one of
rdj's most relaxing tracks ever. If it really is me is also
a fine work, gotta love those funky pianos.

just thought I'd stand up for sosw. it was the first
electronic album I got so it holds a special place in my
heart. in all honesty, aside from saw2 I play it the most
out of all his releases. the beats are not as complex as
some of his other cds but it always puts me in a zone while
using headphones. its cool that aphex fans have such
diverse favorites among his releases. same with ae...heard
amber first and I prefer it by far over all other releases.
hmm...

I think it's a great release...probably in my top 5 afx
releases; The one with The Entity sample "If it is Really
me?" is just perfect...but I can't realy think of a duff
track on there...

It's old school AFX so loads simpler & less produced than
more recent stuff; more a continuation of SAWI than anything
else so if you liked that you'll like SOSW, I reckon...

I love 'Surfing on sine waves' I have the original 1992 CD
and the 2002 one too. I also have it on chrome tape with the
Quoth b-sides on and 'My Teapot'. I play it all the time,
Love it.

Entity is shockingly scary. it's actually based on a true
story and i find it hard to believe.

I have both CD vers. The extra tracks are good but not as
truely wonderful as the Quoth CD single. Get that if you
can, it's hard to get so ebay or download.

yeah, The Entity was a horror flick based on a woman who was
raped etc by a ghost...pretty scary...

and yeah, apparently based on a true story....
