Yeah - Iam going to be getting some equipment with my friend
to make some music, electronic beats.... just good stuff.
Anyway..... I was wonder {for those of you that know, or use
some equipment, not computers} what is some good stuff to
get? Samplers, Keyboard/Synths/Drum Kit or Machines,
Tables.. whats good from those? Lookin for a Chemicals
Brothers/Dust Brothers, prodigy, breakbeat, hip hop
feel..... something kinda neat and new. More techno'ish than
Hip Hop... weirder.. cool shit. Whats the deal..

also the AKAI s2000 is a nice allorunder Sampler, got many
expansions, like Digital i/o and 8 x out for the mixer, LFO
section, envelope etc etc.. better you go at the shops and
test that shit!

cool! thanks.

I mean.... I want to actually buy a bunch of stuff. So can
someone tell me how it all goes together?. I want a sampler,
a drumkit/machine, a turntable and a keyboard/synth, Ill
need a sequencer or mix board too. Let me know.

so if you need some sequencer software.....say it, actually
i'm learning at cubase, it's a bitch to learn, i like to
play life, but it isn't so easy. remote all that shit from a
keyboard. i think you will be able to learn the whole MIDI
shit if you want make some good sound....(my opinion)

So putting all this equipment together and learning the
steps and procedures of how it all works together and
shit... is that hard?

it's diffrent, you start some sampling tunes....try to make
melodies and sequence the dynamic (MIDI) on the
sequencer...now you can make so many things, endless !! you
can edit a melodie or rhythms over 5 hours long, and perhaps
you know 20% about the edit stuff on MIDI, yes it's not easy
to learn all to use all live....needs time, but it is really
funny if you found some new things..

i imagine something good for beats would be an alesis sr-16
drum machine. they can be had for pretty cheap. an easy to
use sequencer is an mmt-8. if you want a sampler, you should
get an akai s series. you should go to www.sonicstate.com to
check out equipment. also try www.vintagesynth.com

i have an alesis sr-16 and i have programmed some bad-ass
stuff on it. it's really superior because its quantizing can
hit regular quarter notes or dotted ones. You can make
almost anything with it. Mine cost 170 bucks, but it's been
worth every penny.

all that shit functions! i dont get it!!!!

sorry for being stupid, but i´m into Software, but i´m
beginning to like that analoque feel, so please explain it
