for all usigned independent electronic music artists. there
is now a place to have your traks reviewed by fellow
unsigned electronic artists.

you'll be able to have your own page on the site, with links
to all your mp3's + reviews.

first thing im looking for is artists to sign up, and a few
good, reliable, commited reviewers.

the site is still being completed, and i want some artists
to sign up so i can start making there pages. im yet to
impliment a msg board, and a whole bunch of stuff, but ive
made a start.

check out www.audiblefaction.zzn.com for more details.

anyone with any ideas or questions, email me admin@audiblefaction.zzn.com

+ ide like you guys to check out the site, tell me what you
think. you like the colours? screen res ok?

its notin its intended host at the moment, im still waiting
for approval. but once she is all up and live, she will be
in her right place.

thanks,
thorpe

Hey, I'll sign up. I, myself, am a Web designer and
reviewer.
Here's my site: http://maytag87.dyndns.org:8081/wish/ Let me know what you think!
I'm interested in this project!

besides reviews and interviews are there going to be general

idm artist?

signing up as an artist will mean you get a page on the
site, with your bio, a photo and a link to your mp3's. +
you'll be able to submit traks to the reviewrs for
reviewing.
the reviews will then be post to the site, both on your
page, and in the reviews section.

signing up as a reviewer means you are a staff member.
you'll get more say in how the site is run, and hopefully
gain some respect amongst your peers for being an honest
reviewer.

of course you can sign up as both. and i would rather the
reviewers be artists themselves, that way they can give more
constructive reviews / criticism.

i'll be launching a more closed collective (me & my friends,
not just electronic music) in the net sometime soon, could i
be on both?

You've made a point yourself - you should definitely make
this on PHP, or Perl, or something. This way, you could
provide a way for reviewers to review stuff without your
knowledge, thus unloading your ass.
And I'd advise doing it NOW, not porting a shitload of stuff
later.
As for the design - it's decent, although I wouldn't make a
"white-on-black" color scheme for large masses of text (such
as reviews) - it's hard to read, especially that small.
Consider making text boxes or something - like here.

My 2 cents.

yeah, you can be on both. its not like a label or anything.
your still free to promote your stuff wherever you like,
this is just another place to do it.

for now, i simply cant get it into php. i dont code...AT
ALL. the whole site is done in dreamweaver and flash. ive
just got templates and shit.

im figuring i'll spend an hour a day, when i first get home
from work, updating everything. hence, im not gonna review
myself.

as for the design, thanks for your input.
"wouldn't make a "white-on-black" color scheme for large
masses of text"
i had been thinking about maybe going to a dark grey
background. also, do you think the txt might be too small.

its hard for me to till whats going on, ive a 22" monitor at
home, so its all different.

1) well, I DO program. Maybe we do some shit together? Email
me if u're interested.
2) Well, the font is small, but would be acceptable - if not
that kill-all-astigmatics colorscheme. You CAN write white
on black, but with big fat letters...
