Electronic music in the USA

I was on vacation and me and a friend of mine were running
trough our cd-boxes...

boc, ae, afx, snares, clockdva, daft punk, plaid, orbital,
underworld, mr oizo, squarepusher, eno, radiohead, prodigy
etc.

And suddenly something popped in our heads, all these
artists are from outside the USA, NONE of them is from the
US.
So we tried to name a few electronic artists from the US and
we actually couldn't name one decent one!
Has this ever occured to someone? It's kinda weird yunno,
cuz the US provides so many music to the world except for
electronic music.
:S
How come?

Well you could count Paul Oakenfold (does he come from the
states?) but...he sucks more shit than 5,000,000 dung
beatles sifting through 9,000,000 million tons of shit. But
to answer your question, there are no good electronic music
that comes from the states.

Ive come across the same thing and its just that the US just
doesn't care. Have to admit America is pop / rock / hip hop
based. The majority of people there are biased and / or
paranoid about anything new lol. jk but seriously, there's
nothing good in electronica from there...or canada. I mean
we have Plastikman from Ontario...so that's cool. Got
Freeworm from Quebec...and thats all I can think of from
Canada. It sucks and I wish there were more great elec.a
artists from here so i can proudly say 'so and so is from
canada and rivals that of anything from europe' but sadly i
can't say that.

europe is home to more arty things than the us imo. I mean
you have a ton of stuff there. music is one of them. a
lot of classical music is there as well. europe is just too
cool for the rest of the world.

i dislike cex for many reasons but what kind of idm artist
names their album role model. he acts as if hes god in
naming it that. plus he thanks god and jesus too much in
the front insert which annoys me.

Role Model is a pretty stupid title for an album, but I
guess if you're shooting for that smart-aleck/jackass
additude...

Isn't he a scrawny pale white guy?

The Crystal Method are American, and I think they are the
only American electronica band I own. Well, I also have
Moby's play. But, I know, I know, his stuff is shitty.
