ok friday after i read this topic this topic i went to record store and got The Isness
i liked even if is so acustic and have nothing to do with the fsol older works
still some track are just pure pop crap like #7
the #13, are the taking the pist to the 70's or what?
even in the number #3 the lirics are so silly i guess is a joke i hope they are not serious
still i like it specialy the combination of sitar, tablas, harmonicas, banjo, violin, cello and many other instruments.
after this release i woundn't call them future sound of london any more since the sound is not futuristic at all, more ancient sound of london
ps: i just copy and paste what i wrote in the other board i'm to lazy to write everything again

luv 'em....the new album was a surprise, but it's really growing on me.
it's weird - I was listening to 'tales of ephidrena' last night and 'the isness' happened to be in the cd changer and came on after 'tales...' finished - and strangely, in the first minute or so of the first track there is still that old sound - although kinda distant under that beat...just goes to show it's not like they've lost the plot...you know they could go back and do older style stuff, but they've just gone down a different road...and i'm quite glad they did.
I reckon after a while everyone's gonna look back on this album and realise just how good it really is. Sure it's different, but so was cascades compaired to accelarator....
now, i just wanna see them tour properly - that really would surprise me :)
btw - i heard the albums not available on vinyl, but was wondering if there's been any news of a single/ep release, or possibly any vinyl promos floating about of some/all of the album tracks?

I love the shit those guys produce. However, the reviews I heard and read about Isness are very disappointing, because I love the stuff those guys produce, not some other new acoustic shit.
Fuck, it's like Aphex Twin going to sing gospels. Puke.

some day you guys will realize how logical a progression the isness was. listen to the environmental tracks on isdn, dead cities, and the singles, and of course translations. this is their biggest jump but it's not totally unexplainable.
