Aphex Twin is PERFECT!!!

Archrival from NY on 2001-08-11 19:42 [#00021109]

From a interview with Luke Vibert

"I could easily do three or four tracks a day in the old
days but now it's like one every couple weeks. But that's
still quite quick compared to some of me mates. Aphex Twin
is on a really slow one at the moment - like three or four
months to do a tune, but he can be worse than that, take
three or four months on a snare drum."

THATS what I call mr perfect!!! (I like it when people lay
down time on there music).

Yeah, I'm mostly interested in tunes that sound like they
have been precision detailed with a microscope. It
eventually becomes something else almost, other than simply
some sound units put here and there in time. It becomes a
thing unto itself, takes on a behavior of it's own. You
eventually don't see the individual units, but the behavior
of many units functioning as a whole.

if he is - just temporarily.

it doesn´t mean anything how long it takes you to do a
track.

No wonder his output has dropped since the late 90s...

he isn't perfect, rather insecure to dwell months on 1
sound. Still he poops on all of us :)

heard of. [] is only following suit

yes.
druKqs is the .................... god damn best thing to
ever happen.

like i've always said.

RDJ takes his time with his music, and you know what?

You can listen to his music forever.

Hell, i used to listen to DrukQs every fucking
day....seriously, for the past few years.

Now its more like every 2 days or so, .

But man, none of the tracks get boring!

People who dish out albums every few months ... well, their
music is great for the time being, but def. gets old.

Yeah. I'm surprised so many people complain about the state
of the "scene" or whatever. I'm totally happy with it's
state.

agreed.

Like I said, RDJ proves that his music lasts. I can live
with DrukQs happily for another 2years, easily.

Then, I might be ready for a new RDJ album that grasps as
hard as his previous ones.

[]pshr throws the next best thing out...

personally... i'd be happy with about one year of
squreapusher drum'n'bass of hapiness from AFX and
squarepusher together or anything...
"blah-meh-to-become-don't become no-no0NO!" to now "BAD"

this shit is applauded AFX FUCK YOU ALL...

I guess Rich has been caught in a lie, again. Didn't he say
he makes most of his tracks in 30 minutes. Or, he makes
hundreds a year. etc...etc...You'd be better off listening
to his friends when they slip up the truth.

I agree that RDJ cant be taken seriously, but its Vibert
talking about him. So for it to be false, Vibert would have
to be bullshitting. That or that AFX likes to fuck with
Vibert's head too :)

'aphex twin spending months on his tracks' and 'smojphace'

you do the math

i would honestly be able to see drukQs tracks taking weeks,
months.

I really don't care about how long it takes him to make a
track.

Maybe he listens to the tracks for a few months then decides
what parts get boring then change it then release it.
