A lot of the computer voices I hear (Radiohead "Fitter Happier" comes to mind) sound exactly like the standard text-to-speech program you get with a Macintosh.

There were several voices, but I think "Fred" is used the most. RDJ used the "Junior" voice on something, I think. Hard to remember, I last used that stuff a long time ago.

I think macintosh's text to speek works.. if you mess with time streach..... or through applescript you can change rate or speed of the words being spoken.... find it at www.apple.com/applescript

But the best thing to do is find one of those old skool computers (forgot the brand) with the classic Hawking voice.... (the astrophysicist/scientist/philosipher)
