and ow its kinda sad releasing a album w_ is based on
remixes of old songs if you havent produced that much music
(in afx's case its a different story)

i like hybrid theory and got a 2 song sampler from the new
remix album, one song is sweet and the other is a rap crap
mix.

(burn for me, caugh, caugh, caugh, caugh, they are great
live)

I despise them... totally despise them. Their music is
catchy in a brainless way, much like the Spice Girls.

''I tried so haaaaaard, and got so far'', etc.

But I hate them. All you need to get a record contract now
is hair gel and dye. A boyband hidden behing the guise of
''metal''.

Ophecks ---they are no boy band, they are catchy metal for
the moment

*the only part i dont like is that they are a band of the
day, where pretty is fasionable

"releasing a album w_ is based on
remixes of old songs"... like gorillaz did... i agree with
you, it's quite sad -_-

i remember, one or two years ago i was still listening to
this kind of nu-metal shit... i'm ashamed about it now... '
_ '
(the only band i still like from this kind is korn)

limp bizkit, linkin park...

in a way it wasn't all bad, because it introduced me to nine
inch nails (limp bizkit quoted/copied nin in one of their
songs), which led me to aphex twin (among other artists,
like coil, 12 rounds, etc)...

Oh it all do different across the pond, dont worry, you can
have your own version of our language anyway, its not that
good anyway.

Words like, "wolly", "anorack" and "daft" can all go.

Their songs are indeed catchy like Ophecks said and I like
their last video (Point of Authotity), but it's not my kind
of music. I sometimes hum along with their songs but IDM
music brings about sooooooo much more with
me.....incomparable

I'd love this band if I was 14. But it's 5 years later, and
I'm afraid this kind of overproduced, glossy, overly loud
and obnoxious music just hurts my aging ears.

LPB, are you one of those people that start disliking a band
as soon as people start liking them?

I don't think they became sellouts with that song. They
sucked before then, and they'll continue to suck until their
suckiness kills them.

The best thing about Linkin Park is their cover art. and
even that isn't anything special.

As far as I am concerned, they are fundamentally a boy band.
I did like one song they did though, cure for the itch.

absolute lp freak and she had no one to go with so I
volunteered my services ( and besides i didn't have to pay
for tickets). Has anyone seen them live? are they any good
or suck shit? I hope some decent bands play with them. Maybe
I'll bring my discman and some really good headphones, SAWII

eh to linkin park.

I'll admit I was a hudge KoRn fan, and I still like their
music. I guess I listened to them at the right times. Went
through alot of hard stuff in the past, their music was
there to get away from it, and its forever in my heart.

I know that may be hard to understand for those that hate
KoRn, but well..... their music helped.

oh wow. I used Gram32 to scan it. Another program, GoldWav,
also scans it the same. I wonder how i could fix this.....

I did see that picture on joyrex along time ago, and it was
even more clear then the one u posted.... Damn I wonder how
they did that.

I noticed when I make sounds out of any pictures I have and
scan them into Gram32, the tops get stretched out....

Their debut single was quite catchy at first and I liked the
video to it, but aside from that and their collaboration
with the x-ecutioners there's not really anything they've
done that I like. Seeing them in interview made me cringe
and I decided they were not for me.

It was popular because their record label paid to give it as
much advertising as possible and make it popular. Music like
that is profit driven! It's like when you hear one single on
the radio twenty times a day and something else gets none.
It may be popular but it's on the playlist so won't be
anything other then popular due to the amount of advertising
it gets. Popular music is an industry quite the same as
games or movies, you get movies that are not huge hits too
and the amount of money it makes is down to how commonly
accessible it is and how much advertising is burnt onto
peoples minds. The popular music industry has made a nice
little illusion, rather then the music being popular it's
big companies grouping together and acting as the whole
popular music scene when there is so much more outside of
the back scratching awards. It's all to easy for someone to
listen to the radio, look at the charts and think that this
is the real deal when it's only a group of companies that
have succeeded in shunning a lot of the competition away. By
joining a record label like the examples I gave here you
sell out because you become profit driven.

Most people are told what to listen to.

But if you like the sound who gives a fuck eh?

I listen to Eiffel 65 and fuck you all if you don't like it.
