what is good software for windows that I can easily record
a CD into decent quality mp3s?

(nothing that will take over my computer like that

Exact Audio Copy and CDex are the best rippers for Windows.
Both of them can encode to mp3 if set up properly. I use EAC
but a lot of people like CDex's interface better. Use a good
mp3 encoder like LAME.

agreed...EAC seems to the one for 100% perfect rips altho I
find CDEX a bit simpler to use...just a taste thing really,
as you say....

Both coupled with the LAME encoder as IW recommends...

Check out r3mix.net for the complete low down on making
the best MP3s....what settings to use etc...

electro, you should drop ez cd crapper like a hot potato.

all the programs I mentioned are free.

I use Nero for burning. It's not free but it's worth it ...
