Which way would you like this mesasge board to go? I think It's good that it's not JUST full of IDM threads cause even though I like IDM, I don't feel I know enough about it to talk about it. |

I do too, I just don't "Know" IDM. Jar's always the DJ in teh house but when he's in work and I'm off I will listen and learn. I'm not too keen on BoC, they kinda bore me, aphex is starting to bore my but I havent listend to enough (same for BoC) but I really like square pusher =oD |

VARIETY is ze spice of life =0) i think primarily IDM music should be dissed and discussed on this MB, however it's great when others bring up topics which elicit good discussions that broaden peoples minds! so i say various and sundry topics should remain.....HOWEVER as always use good judgement! =0) |

(United States) on 2002-08-12 01:36 [#00345145] Points: 1328 Status: Wizard it might break down something like this; wow! we made it here, to a site dedicated to aphex. wow! a message board to talk to people (which is hard to do in the real world) about how much we share the same love for one artist in particular. that being the case, i don't think that everyone finds it nesacery to constantly babble on about all that is aphex. since it is implied by the simple facts that we have all come together on this baord and how are needs of intelligent conversations and sometimes emotional comfort differ form those in mainstream society, we come back daily, weekly, monthly to seek these things from the others found here on this very special littel niche of the internet! It's not all IDM, but IDM fans have to have SOME things in common, so it's a good hangout for talking about whatever... and being IDM fans, well... there's lots of IDM talk, but not JUST IDM. IDM IDM IDM IDM. I'm more of a rock fan, actually. Most of my fave artists use (shudder), GUITARS. But electronic music stole my heart too, so I get the best of both worlds. It must suck to hate ''old fashioned'' guitars... or to hate ''passionless, emotionless'' computers and programs... missing out on a lot of great music. |
