your fav AFX album and why.

AFXDUB from canada on 2001-03-27 08:08 [#00001603]

Mine would have to be Ventolin [it is a hard choice, because
I love all of his stuff so much]. I Really like this one a
lot because it is so rough, and abrassive on the ears/mind.
It makes me think... a lot. Its a mysterious album, to say
the least.. it is great!

Tekn010G from Australia on 2001-03-27 08:58 [#00001606]

mine would have to be SAWII, It's complex, but still simple
sounding, so there's more than one way to listen to it and
it never get's boring, and there's also that 2 cd thing that
I'm experimenting with now, but as far as heavier stuff
goes, I would have to go for "I care because you do", you
can listen to that in any mood and love it, it's just so
versatile

alan flifton from outer mongolia on 2001-03-27 09:14 [#00001610]

For me it has to be SAW 1 cos its one of the fist records
that got me into Aphex, electronica and all this "IDM"
business. Its a classic album and even though its not
complex by todays standards at all, the tunes and melodys
still sound damn good to me, apart from we are the music
makers, thats a bit poop.
Hey, thanks for your time.

i would probably have to take certain tracks from certain
albums and combine and mix them together in order to create
my favorite afx album

i think i have to say rdj album. it was my first aphex after
hearing his tracks on further down the spiral. it marks the
beginning. it is close to my heart.

I change mind between:

ab3: its so oldschool
icbyd: its the perfect album
drukqs: its like a trip throughout aphex

Richard D James Album

it was the first RDJ album I ever owned - without it I
wouldn't be writing electronic music today. And I still love
it.

SAW'85-92 - cos it still sounds so fresh - one of very few
albums I can just put on from start to finish at any time...
like every track..

I'd say Druqks or RDJ album.. both of which marked new
points in my music listening life. RDJ (and ICBYD)
simultaneously introduced me to IDM, and Druqks is just
excellent.

Drukqs- Loadsa tracks, covers so many styles. Awesome
percussive programming. It has Nannou2, Vordhosbn and
Ziggomatic on it, all of which are in my top 10 RDJ tracks.
