*bump*

does anybody know where i might be able to find his album
"system upgrade" released i think around 2001 for a
reasonable price? preferably new... amazon has one new
listed for $50 and several used as low as $10. boomkat on
the other hand, has never heard of it.

I had/have a buddy who was reallllllly into Dieselboy a few
years back. He played an album called 'the 6ixth Sessions'
for me in his car one day and I recall being shocked (in a
good way) at its complexity and energy.. for drum n' bass
that is, which tends to get tiring to me after a while.

i don't think i would ever pay more than $20 for a cd unless
it was an import and in that case not more than $30... but
yeah, no i'm not gonna buy system upgrade for fifty fuckin
dollars, to tell you the truth i've never d/l'd an album in
my whole entire life. idk what it is, but i'd just rather
own the actual physical medium. i feel as if i downloaded
everything i ever wanted for free, what's to stop me from
d/l'ing fucking crap all the time? if i want it so bad, i'd
rather work hard to earn the money to buy it. that way i'd
actually appreciate my collection a lot more.

anyway, i was with my friend and we were in his car
listening to system upgrade and he was about to throw it out
the window and i was like WHOA!!! wtf r u doin d00d?! he
said it was too scratched up so he gave it to me and it
played good enough for me all except one or two tracks i'd
have to skip. i took it and about 11 other of my favorite
cd's on a trip to cali for a weekend then the next morning
after i got back home to vegas my car was broken into and
that little magazine of cd's i had in there was all they
stole. coheed and cambria - III(which was the 2nd time
being stolen), pink floyd - darkside, trance, sublime -
robbin hood, skankin pickle - sing a long(which i had
stolen), aphex - 26mx4$ (disc 1 only), hr (from bad brains)
- it's about luv, ryuichi sakamoto - b12. idk y i felt
compelled to include all that...

he regularly djs in cape town. he puts on a good show,
playing slayer dnb remixes and the like. sixth session is a
compilation album put together by him, he didn't produce any
of it (he may have done some remixing). system upgrade is a
classic. i used to really like that shit in high school.
