carrot in a song about vegetables

I love that album, Smiley Smile - my favourite Beach Boys
album: a group much maligned but brilliant.

My "cover version" of I get around:

"I get around round round round, I get around/
oooooooooo/
Hang around with cult leaders/ ooooooooo/
get their hopes up with promises of record deals, ow eo wo/
the gus we meet are really hip, they're mass murdering
psychopaths who cut off people's lips/ oooooo eo ow
I get around round round round I get around/ I'm quick to
dissacociate myself from them when they go on killing
sprees, oooooo!"

My tribute to the guy from the beach boys who was mates with
charles manson.

Hey, dont u think the start of "Wouldnt it be nice" sounds
like "Goon Gumpos" on the RDJ album?

"god only knows" is great because it sounds good despite
being 100% pure cheese

I saw that Braian Wilson thing too, I admire him and his
focus on his style. His inspiration was "Rubber Soul"
apparently

pet sounds and friends are both classic b. wilson albums.
yeah, he set out to make a better album than the beatles
rubber soul album which was pet sounds. sadly when sgt.
pepper's.. came out he thought the beatles had out done him.
sgt. peppers is a good record but I can few records that
measure up to pet sounds and pepper isn't one of them. god
only knows is amazing, no cheese at all.

youre all missing the main point...the start of "wouldnt it
be nice" sounds like Goon Gumpos.
Compare them NOW!!!!

One of the best bands ever... although really their peak
didn't last very long... they challenged the Beatles for pop
supremacy in 66, but it drove Brian mad. What a shame... Pet
Sounds is maybe my favorite album ever. Pretty sappy...
but... it's OK when you're writing music and melodies THAT
good.

perceptor>

God only knows is cheesy. It aint easy being cheesy. Cheesy
can be good. it is rather dramatic and gushing .."What good
would living do me...without you?" Thats Cheesy. But in a
real cool way. I suppose it depends on your definition of
cheesy. Its more mozzarella than Edam, put it that way:)

100% pure cheese.

I don't understand why people think Pet Sounds is their
greatest album -- I think Smiley Smile blows it out the
water!
