It really is "fuck off"; Radiohead fans are just fuckin' dicks. Radiohead don't suck, but their open "fans": "i wish radiohead would repeat ok computer again"; "i can't here any guitars";... are fuckin' retarded. Radiohead "fans" suck.

I agree, Syd. Like those annoying little adolescent fans who shout "hey thom! hey, it's me!" etc. They think they know him just because he once answered one of their questions on their shitty little Radiohead Message Board. If a band breaks America, they are guaranteed millions and millions of fuckwit fans.

some of you have a point, radiohead fans can be shitty. i recetly saw them in georgia, and there were many many little fuckers yelling this and that which pissed off the band.
but i must say, i am a very big "fan", and i like them very much, so "creep" (did you know they vowed never to play that song again because they hate it, and stoopid ignorant fucks like yerself want to hear it too much...), you can go piss off.

yeah, there's a lot of stupid radiohead fans..i got particuliarly mad when people said things like 'it's time to get new heroes, this kid a shit is disappointing' kid a is phenomenal! thanksomuch- they played creep for the first time in awhile in oxford, but they didnt play it for years..and personally, i could care less (for anything on pablo as well) :)
i think the bends is where they started getting it right..

oh and i forgot to say, Richard Ramirez, you have an excellent point. there were people in the concert saying things like "Damn i wish they would play "any one can play guitar" and "why is johnny fucking with that machine...." dolts. those sort of people give a bad name to any band and their fans..... even aphex.

that's what i am saying, ross. amzaing they played creep.. if i were them, i'd drop that word from my vocab. they are heading in an excellent direction, i'll be it, they are NEW at it all, but i am quite happy with them any way.

ive enjoyed some radiohead and found some tiresome. i felt a little bit pissed at "Idioteque"'s IDM-ripoff, but oh well. More power to them.
ive found their fans to be both tiresome and enjoyable as well, but i have found a fair degree of aphex fans the same.
Moreso, the record shop pushers and elitist 'zine writers, the "auteur" college boys and wannabe bedroom IDM gods (the last of which I may be considered myself) do their share to sour a fine group of fans (like we have here).
Elitism seems to rule when music breaks free of boundaries set by conventional media. Perhaps this is a safety device, to prevent mass-market appeal, or some sort of cult ritual to bring unity to the members of the scene. Whatever the cause, it makes these people ridiculously offensive in average conversation. It's a form of musical fascism. "Music Nazi" is the popular term.
I have never understood why liking music that is unknown makes you more intelligent than another human being. If such is the case, then when the music you follow gains exposure, then you must slowly be revealed for the fool you are. Artists that are intelligent, creative, and imaginative retain their dignity no matter what their star status. I feel that aphex and radiohead are similar in this way, to a degree. Hell, Frank Zappa as well. There are many.
Once an artist HAS reached exposure, you gain a large following. Some are old fans, some are new fans looking to cash in on a phenomenon, wear Tshirts, and engage in highbrow converstation on "the meaning of Nannou" and etc.
But some are new fans just getting started, people who respect the music for what it is, and find it unneccesary to fly a flag of musical choice.
Just remember this: We all listened to Aphex for the first time ONCE.
I think that radiohead just suffers from more bandwagon jumpers than a lot of other artists.
But I could be wrong.

ross, darling, i OWN meeting people is easy.. do you recall thom singing "creep" and when reaching the lyric "i wish i was special.." some oaf yelled "you are special thom!"? that video makes me feel bad for bands, even though most would not pity them due to their wealth and forture, these bands, ICONS rather, are not always happy.
muab (excuse me if i spell it wrong...) i agree, Radiohead and most tragicly hip bands/groups/persons suffer from the ol'band wagon plugue.. but they pass, those band wagons, and people who truely enjoy the music for what it is wroth will stick around.... i have to admit, i don't mind flaunting my radiohead and aphex habits with a few logo shirts here and there... but they are not OBVIOUS.. if you get my meaning, no plastering of names sort of thing...

richard i think most RH fans were happy with Kid A, the people who weren't most probably aren't fans but people who've heard creep and liked it.
BTW I love pablo honey... i think its better than the bends.. the bends it's their worst album in my opinion.

you've prolly heard it guys, but if you can, download transatlantic drawl, it's crazy..thanksomuch- i laughed when i heard 'you are special thom' and when the reporter says 'it's called ok computer, but there's no track on it called ok computer' some people are such slags...Muab, good points...to be honest with everyone, when i went to see radiohead, i was slightly intimidated by their audience..And on the side i was on, hardly anyone was singing or moving to the music..at first i was like "damn this is putting me down" but by everything in its right place i was up and dancing and not giving a fuck..idioteque was amazing live..Tool also have a similiar problem with fans..people will like them because they're "hard" and "angry" unfortunately..

maub, muab, no prob...
I shouldn't be so hard on Idioteque. perhaps it's personal, as in the feeling i got recently when playing some of my music for a friend of a friend of a girlfriend...that has a smaller view of what is way out there musically, and also is a very big radiohead fan. his words to me were "wow, this sounds like idioteque" and I was a bit miffed, as in "damn you, this REALLY sounds like *insert IDM artist here*!". I felt bad because a group had gained credit for creating a sound that was around before them (not quite saying that they nicked it, but "borrowed" ideas - which is cool.) So its probably my pettiness showing as being misunderstood, all the while as I was trying to grasp onto that sound... so in a way, radiohead and i were alike... we both admired something higher.
I must agree with the intimidation factor. elitism really show through in some crowds.
their last 2 albums were very good. Meeting People was excellent, a very good film.

What's so wrong with radio head? him do nothing wrong? he makes grand music with the odd bloody nonsenceical vidios and gibber gabbery lyrics.
well whoever made this topic, well there plan was a success because if you really think about it the only reason that somebody would put up a stupid topic like "fuck off" would to figure out just how many pepole would freak out because nobody hates radiohead but i guess not everybody loves them so everybody who pays any attention to this message board would reply to this.
so this person who put up this topic would eather be extermely smart with the knowledge to study the behaverior of aphex twin fan's, or a very stupid person seeking attention. Radical!
