Ctrl Alt del: I keep tryign to get ahold of you to tell you my progress on the snares site. And since i cant' seem to, i'll just make a thread here. 1. I'm working on a theme for the site. a "mini-remix" of a snares track to be played in the flash intro, as well as a high quality version for dl. 2. the graphics are comign along nicely. I should be gettign my last pay check in the mail any day now, and when i do i'm heading over to the thrift shops/garage sells to buy plastic toys for the rest of the graphics. 3. I've been reading that you're haveign troubles with the hosting. what's up? ok, for the flash gurus...i need help settign up a few simple flash scrollbars, and toc's etc. nothign major, but i dont' have time to learn flash to make a decent attempt. cinematographors/flash gurus: i need to collab with you guys to make the intro. I need it to be a music video to the remix i;m making, and i'm not a cinematographer, nor do i know flash well enough to even link the animations to music. if you meet ANY of the catagories, and are interested, please post your ideas/opinions here. thanks for your time, and hope to see you on the new WWW.VSNARES.TK!!!!! |

i keep tryign to join the irc chat...but i pull a search for snares on the servers, and get zero results. I'm using both mirc, and excursion (which is practially mirc) meho: thanks man! |

Nanotech, I know Flash pretty well. Setting up scrollbars is a bit of an elaborate process, but there's a tutorial written on that could probably help you with that. I've done many, many Flash sites. My best advice is to not go overboard on Flash--it can do a lot of things, but those things look coolest when not done in conjunction with tons and tons of its cool tricks. |

all i want is a intro, a 'conatianer" and a toc (the scrollbar). i basically want to steal the one they have at nothingrecords.com, but use diff images to link to diff pages. |

Just checked out that Nothing records site and saw the bit you mean, nano...the scrolling menu thing at the bottom, yeah?...the code behind it (inertia scrolling) is something Praystation has done a load of examples of.... I've got a theory they had to put those ugly arrows on the ends of that menu cause people weren't noticing you could scroll that strip around by clicking n dragging on it...they do look like an afterthought.... Anyways... I could probably get something together for ya on the menu front (someone else can handle the intro...not my kinda thing)....but I've got a couple of other flash things I need to get done first, babysitting Nephews and Programming don't mix..:(....so might take a week or so before I could do anything... Have you got all the images etc sorted out?... |

well i can`t help with the flash stuff but irc is pretty easy you don`t have to search for anything just use mirc add a server "irc.xentonix.net" after connecting type /j #vsnares done |

thax for your help ppl. jand: as far as images go, not quite done with them yet. And i've been looking at how to do flash intors' it seems easy enough. (i'm a flash beginner, and it's doable). sepix...i'm gonna try it now. |

hehe coool site.. are u doing it for vsnares or just a small fan site? i met him in LA very nice guy :) and i know flash prety well i could help answer some questions.
