Leftfield - Afrika Shox (Chris Cunningham)

^^^ WOULD be the absolute best video in the world, IF it
didn't leave you on such an open note. It ends too suddenly.
This could be a good thing, but the way the rest of the vid
goes, I just don't like it.

Ugh, I like the video for 'Girls eat worms' by 'Sexton Ming
and steady' but I know for a fact you will never have seen
that. The video for 'That's Nice' by 'Minty' is cool now but
only cuz I dig that sort of thing. I bet you would mostly
all hate it. Very basic but cool.

"Schism" by Tool. Not my kind of music but the video is very
very nice :)

The visuals leftfield had at a gig I went to were very cool-
Alightbulb swinging, oscilloscopes & samuris. All in time to
the beat...

i agree...i wonder why trent didnt' put that on the clouser
comp. maybe he didnt' like it. I think that's the rawest nin
song; so fucking hateful...so fucking evil...

this thing inside of me...it shrivled up and died...why did
you put it there...did you not realize? this thing inside of
me...it screams the soundest sound...I'M GONNA BURN THIS
WHOLE WORLD DOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!

as for best vid ever...i know we've had this poll a few
times, and i'm not sure what all i posted. hmmmm, well, i
gues i'm going to have to say something along the lines
of...the dope show by manson. fuck, i need to drink more
cafenee.

I picked up a copy of that Massive Attack DVD the other day;
all their videos on one DVD, recommended....all in all I
reckon they're one of my fave bands from the last 10
yrs....

As for favourite video....hmmm...I would've said GG but
we're not allowed AE so I'll go with The Boy With The Thorn
in His Side by The Smiths...

I do like a lot of those nu style R&B videos a la Missy
Elliot..but all of em tend to look pretty similar..that
future ghetto-fabulous CGI look...

oh and I gotta mention ANAMORPH by Bit Meddler...when they
dropped that vid as part of the 2001 May1 Reboot, it stunned
the web design community...

Current rave seems to be Remind Me by Royksopp (sp??)...3D
isometric goodness and loads of chart/info junk...nice style
but fuck knows how long it took to make...

"just" by radiohead.

Such a beautiful video... it doesn't look particularly
interesting, but it's just a great idea! And in the end,
content is always more important than style :-) Alot of the
videos mentioned above look awesome indeed... but in the end
i do grow tired of them when i've seen them a couple of
times

And with 'just'... no matter how many times i see it, the
ending of that video still gives me goosebumps!

The remake. I really liked it, it's agood story anyway, but
the camera work and musical score along with excellent
acting all round made it get a 9/10 from me. I was going to
watch it next week, but perfect blue and battle royal have
arrived so I wil watch them first :)

All of Tool's videos and the Nin Closure has some good stuff
too. I really dont think any aphex videos are that good I
mean theyre not nearly as good or even in same category as
Tool's. theyre mostly just funny.

xtiaan- the only video idea that comes to me from that pic
is the video for "Stand Inside Your Love" off of Machina.

That vid didn't get much airtime though, possible Ava Adore,
from the CD Adore? that is much more well known.

I want that NIN DVD too, that promo using "Just Like You
Imagained" was 100% genious
