LunaticWorks

Organ Grinder from my own little fantasy world on 2001-08-07 20:43 [#00020321]

My label is called LunaticWorks.

The label focuses on the bedroom dj driven/ electronic
artist and they have quite a bit of variety.... but so far
they only have compilations....

i'll have a song on their next one.....

anyways, my next gig is saturday.. can;t wait....

and i might be working on that squarepusher.nu thing soon
because i found a killer discography....

does this mean that they're accepting submissions?

I'm also going to be on the next LunaticWorks comp. I send
in a Minidisc of crap awhile back.

I think they're still taking submissions, yeah. Give em an
email, they usually respond quickly, I've gone back and
forth with them several times.

I'm still rusty as I've only been making music again now for
2 months after 6 years of doing NOTHING with music. But it's
nice to get something out there anyways, even though they're
using my least favorite track ;-|

It's been nice to run into so many good musicians (on the
net, Rephlex, etc) as it's inspired me greatly to get out of
my slump and start making tracks again. I was having some
harsh depression/druggy shit for several years, and was as
productive as a fuckin' rock. Got over than shit, and
voila...

I reckon I've created about 60 tracks or so since the
beginning of June, pretty sick.

Send stuff in, folks. The LW guy is a pretty nice guy. I
don't think he does MP3's though, so have a tape/cd/md/dat
deck handy.

Grey Gentleman, what name do you go under?

I got an e-mail awhile back addressed to three people --
where you in there at the time?

Yeah, they used one of my least favorite tracks too, but
everyone loves it!

Yes, the lw people are extremely friendly and quite
open-minded... buy an lw compilation (they're under ten
bucks each for songs from ten artists) and you'll see what i
mean.

If you wanna hear my track ,grey gentleman, go to my page by
clicking here.

where might i hear some of yours?

I go under "The Grey Gentleman" oddly enough!

I have some stuff up at http://absent.org/~greygent

Yeah, the song they're using (Paul Reuben's Breakfast) is my
least favorite, but all my friends like it a lot, and
they're usually bluntly honest about their opinions of my
songs, heh. Course, I'm the only person I know that likes
the musicians I like.

I made the song in like 20 minutes on my laptop with whilst
sitting out on the patio of my favorite cafe, sort of as a
joke.

Organ Grinder; you think so??? Weird. No one has ever heard
my music. I think that iam going to start making tunes quite
soon, and I when I do I will let you guys listen first to
analyze my stuff. Keep my informed of these record lables,
and compilations, what do I have to do, send in some info
and a track or two?

The Grey Gentleman from Eugene, Oregon on 2001-08-09 00:03 [#00020534]

But with what, mp3, cd? what what what?

The Grey Gentleman from Eugene, Oregon on 2001-08-09 00:40 [#00020546]

When I had talked to the LW guy he said "CD, cassette tape,
or minidisc".

I sent my stuff in on minidisc. Cassette would probably be
just fine, I reckon.

Just send it in, the worse that could happen is that they
could say "Not this time".
