Aphex twin affect you?

How much does Aphex Twin affect you? I really find this an
interesting idea. When something don’t go your way do you
shout ‘Come on you Cunt”? If you want someone to hurry
do you bark “Come on you slags?” Do you float winnits in
your cheese with plastic fingers? *shudders quite a bit* >.<
Anything I’ve missed and do you get affected in different
ways?

It's music... and all music touches me deeply, my one true
love. So all his different songs do different things to me.
Fuck I love music. Fuck I love Aphex. Fuck I love breasts.

Well if your ‘not a fucking fan’ then don’t post on
fan topics? :)

Nice reply Ophecks. I shall remember that one.

i drew an Aphex Twin-poster into one of the paintings of my
graduation-project
:-p

That was pretty cool (the project was actually a children's
book... it's a shame no publisher is interested in it...
otherwise all the little kids would have been introduced to
aphex twin as soon as they were able to read!). One of my
teachers actually remarked "hey you know aphex twin?" when
he saw the poster.... that was weird too... he was an old
fart, didn't think he'd be into that kind of thing.

But that's the only way Richard influenced my life though.

Altough i did graduate with that project... maybe because of
the AFX-poster? I'll never know... there's no way to find
out

my defenition of fan is a person who's very deeply
influenced by one or serveral people and wants to have
everything there's to get by this artist and tries to act
like em.
I'm not a fan, I enjoy his music. I love to talk about his
music, but I'm not a fan. I'm not gonna act like richard!

That kicks ass surrounded dude, I’m thinking of all these
kids kicking around pumping Aphex Acid into their still
developing heads now. Weird. It is a shock when someone you
don’t suspect likes Aphex twin. Always good to find out
how much cuz sometimes they have rare shit by him you can
tape. }:) My cure t-shirt had so many people talking to me
on the weekend, you don’t get that with Aphex tops much
around here tho. :/

If you like Come To Daddy you should download 'Addicted to
you' by Alec Empire. Not as sporty with the electronics but
the same sort of technogoth feel to it.

thanks spikee :-)

hihi... yeah i thought of those little kids too... kids are
really easily influenced. It could have worked...

pretty smart comment about the teacher though... i should
have asked him if he had anything rare. I was too shocked to
think of that ;-)

No shit. Do you know Lupinesingel? That's where I was at...
crazy shit man, I used to skate at that mall :) What school
did/do you go to? When I was there it was still Martin
Luther King, John F. Kennedy, and de Tafelronde (where I
went). Then everything become Regenboog or some shit. Man, I
haven't been there in ages. I'm actually going to Holland on
Thursday, my parents moved back to Den Haag. YIH BITCH!

it's a small world after all! yeah the lupinesingel is
really close to hear... i think 8 years ago i was a paperboy
in that area.

I went to the Vaste Burcht School first, and then the Groene
Hart Lyceum... i'm not sure what they were all called back
then.

But so you're not in holland now??

I've been affected I s'pose in a similiar way to surrounded.
LAtely in Art I've been finding myself inserting AFX logos
into the dark corners of the drawings, and even once, I had
"Come on you cuntz, let's 'ave some Aphex acid!" written on
a billboard in a street! I got full marks on that one, and
the teacher didn't even notice.

i love little details like that spoonz! (you attend
artschool). Little personal touches that an artist puts into
it... it makes me smile everytime i discover it in a
picture.... so i deceided to also do it myself :-P

+the aphex-logo looks really great.

well... that makes sense i guess. You can't expect to keep
speeking dutch perfectly when not living in holland for 8
years.

But there are really alot of dutchies on this site! More
than i would have expected.

The atari's best track IMO. Brilliant stuff and the matrix
samples are inspired.

It's not really Atari Teenage Riot because it's only Alec
Empire and Nic Endo doing that track. I have loads of old
Alec Empire stuff and it's nothing like the noise gabber
they knock out. I love 'addicted to you' because it wasn't
ruined by too much distortion. I actually took an ATR album
and tried to remove some of the static. It doesn't suit
them. If you really want some retro Alec try 'Two turntables
and a moog' or 'the drum and the bass'. King of the street
is some hard fast jungle too. Alec has kinda been given this
angry noise look but he makes some really soothing and
interesting tracks. Huge discography.

In short tho Ceri, It's cool you like the track. I'm going
on a bit, I get geeked going on about Alec, I've been told I
look like him in RL but thats not really true I think. I
admire the guy a lot.
