I loved this movie, mainly because I'm a huge HST fan (as
you can tell by the avatar) and love the book. I was scared
as first when the movie was being made, because I didn't
think it would be possible to make a film that would
represent the book well, but they did a great fuckin job.
Depp played HST to que, got everying just right with the
swagering walk and blurred, incoherent speech, and Del Toro
complemented him as the scary fat bastard lawyer quite
sweetly. All in all one of my top 5 flicks (number 1 for
drugs), but I can see how many people arn't able to
appreciate the gonzo style. All I can do is feel sorry for
the sad fuckers, shit, it just wasn't meant for some people
I guess.... poor poor bastards

Yeah. How can you claim to have seen a film if you switched
off after 15 minutes?

Is it true that Train Spotting has subtitles in the states?

You've gotta be kidding p0g0?

Makes me laugh.....George the 3rd=Madness of King George in
the US

Harry Potter nad the Philosophers Stone=Harry Potter and the
Sorcerors Stone in the US!

Do they really think the US public are too stoopid to know
what they are?

Kinda like in Goldmember with the subtitles for the cockney
talk :D

On topic, I really liked the film, but it took ages before I
realised it was Depp :D

Gilliam polarises people, especially if they're really into
movies. Love him or hate him, it's a matter of opinion,
even if you're retarded.

I saw Fear & Loathing at Glasto - trippers in front of me
were trying to have sex without taking their clothes off!

Depp & Del Toro are great... you don't often see Hollywood
sex symbols make themselves look really freaky and
unattractive! Gives the rest of us a chance :)

More headfuck movies:

Pi, Requiem For A Dream
The Shining, 2001
Memento
Fight Club
Existenz, Videodrome
