Does anyone know what the hell Aphex runs on his fabled laptop? I can\'t understand how you could fit so much shit on a lappie, including a decent sound card... Anyone know anything? |

The new macintosh's can fit more than you can imagine, and run it to boot. And macs dont really have audio/video cards like Pcs do. Its different. He does use a mac. thats known I believe... i dont know exactly whats on his "lappie" but iam sure its some programs he has made, or modified in some way. and others like that. to play his tunes, and change them as he sees fit. |

c64's Rule, although I never had any porn on mine. I wouldn't be surprised if RDJ's laptop is a Mac, then he probably uses MAX/MSP 4 and has like a graphic interface that he designed to play his music and fuck with it. |

Reportedly, he uses a Mac and ProTools. I personally think ProTools is ass, but as they say... it's the craftsman, not his tools... Please be aware that if you want to get software to make music like his, ProTools ain't gonna help you, it's ass. I'd like to see RDJ's collections of samples, though. I used to have a ton of samples on tapes, but they've gone to heaven. Thanks to my new minidisc recorder, however, I'm starting anew. |
