Call me weird, but recently I've taken to writing notes on graph (or squared) paper rather than lined. Just thought you should know.

I like graph paper. It makes your writing neater by giving you a reater sense of the space on the page.
I never used my 'graph book' in school though.

I think the vertical lines help you judge the height of your letters.
My gf has some really cool german paper that is all grey squares (about 1/2 cm square) on a white background.

I'm with ya with the square paper...great for doodling as well...but fave at moment is those A3 Black Spiral Bound art sketchbooks; mines like an overflowing filofax, I end up sticking all sorts of shit & notes & pictures in there....
