To continue on from Jedi Chris' amazing thread about water levels, i read the other day that a spiders silk is practically the strongest material in the world. Five times stronger than steel apparently.
"Wow" i hear you say... however, they are utilising this natural phenomenon by injecting a gene from a certain spider, (with one of the strongest webs) into a female goats egg at conception.
Wait for it, wait for it... then when the goat is born, it secretes spiders silk in small doses into its milk, which is then separated using a special machine to make lots of spiders silk.
This is then used to make a futuristic body armour, where a sheet of it as thick as nylon will stop a bullet dead.
Plus, the company doing it is taking over the world of the production of fishing line, as it is so strong.
Amazing i thought.
Oh, sorry, "Aphex Twin is cool, rdj album is the best."
