How come i purchased the album "Homogenic" and the song All
Is Full Of Love sounds different than it does in the video??
It doesnt have the beats!! what the hell...

pos69sum from yr arse on 2001-08-05 04:27 [#00019801]

coz sometimes they remix songs for the video or for radio

thanksomuch from over there on 2001-08-05 04:52 [#00019802]

not to change the subject, but did any one see "Dancer in
the Dark"... i loved it..

ross on 2001-08-05 05:35 [#00019817]

thanksomuch- i own ditd, fabulous movie...i've never cried
so much in my life..

ross on 2001-08-05 05:36 [#00019818]

lemon, if you want the beat version..it's the stigmata
mix..the original is good, but it lends itself to remixing

Barrett, Syd from Cambridge on 2001-08-05 05:48 [#00019819]

that movie was brilliant.

one of my favourites easily.

i remember there was an art house playing both requiem for a
dream and dancer in the dark. my friends and i planned to
get tickets for both to do a double feature. thank god we
ended up getting there too late.

probably would have went home and killed myself (great
movies though).

Does anyone else think that Bjork has great music, but
spoils it with her directionless vocal melodies?

thorpe from aus on 2001-08-05 17:06 [#00019886]

the best version of all is full of love is the plaid remix.
dont know which version of the single it was on but i have
the mp3, its wick....about the directionless melodys,
please? pull your head in!

there are 6 versions of that song,

Album Version
Video Version
Strings
Funkstrorung Exclusive Mix
Plaid Mix
Guy Sigsworth Mix

and '(homogenic) album version' has
no beat. video version is only on
'all is full of love' single album.

merdah, her voice is one of the big reasons i like the
music..though the music surrounding it is very awesome as
well

thanksomuch from over there on 2001-08-05 20:46 [#00019922]

she has the most lovely voice... has any one heard the duet
she did with thom yorke? "i've seen it all"?

Merdah? on 2001-08-05 20:55 [#00019923]

Don't get me wrong -- I think her voice is great! I'll give
an example of one of the songs which I consider to have a
directionless vocal melody:'Hunter'. The music is
fantastically atmospheric, but it sounds like she's making
up the tune of what she's singing as she goes along. Of
course, there are songs in which her ut vocals work really
well with the music,eg. 'Army of Me'.

ross on 2001-08-05 23:35 [#00019942]

merdah, i can sorta see what your saying, but it's never
really bothered me/appeared vividly to
me..hmm...thanksomuch- yes, the duet is great..bjork is
prolly my favorite artist besides Tori..

Merdah? on 2001-08-06 00:36 [#00019945]
