nice one for a first go w/ fruityloops, thought the drum
samples sounded way too obviously taken from the ones that
come with the program (or maybe it's just because i spend
too much time on FL). maybe try tweaking them a bit, but
otherwise an impressive tune.

oh and that cymbal gets a bit repetitive.

You know, I tried buzz. And got pretty good at it. Then I
showed people what I had done, and the first thing they all
said was: Wow. Buzz does sound really bad. I agree. You
should go back to using fruityloops.

So I did. The results sound a lot better. And along with
composition, how it sounds is very important. Buzz tends to
have shitty sound quality ( I will admit, I was able to make
one pad sound that was really good, but thats it). Fruity
really depends on the artist for sound quality and what have
you. The choice was easy.

I wish I had the know how to write my own software. I need
to try something besides modplug sorry tracker too. I'll try
floops someday.

Advice for untitled;
Instead of using that cymbal, bring in a lush, cold pad
sound. It will give you a similar effect, yet not seem so
repetetive. Use some compression on those kick drums (I
think it was a kick drum, I could be wrong). The bassline
had a couple of sour notes in it, and I suggest playing
around a bit with it.

All in all, not a bad effort, you just require practice.
Good luck :)

Respekt!!!

don't forget that fruity can also use most of buzz's
generators and fx, meaning that if you really want something
from buzz...use it anyway!

I haven't tried FL yet, but I use Hammerhead Rhythm Station.
It's really a good program for just beats!

You can get it from www.threechords.com/hammerhead

I'm starting work on my next album using MTVs Music
Generator 2.....

grr...

The program is all going a bit sad, all pop and rock, I got
upset at first but then, I make all my own stuff anyway so
it might be fun to play with all the new samples and the
sampling kit... wish me luck

fruityloops is dopeass!

i also have buzz, and it seems really cool for idm (check
out Gl;itch, i think he uses buzz and he rocks) but i didnt
liek the way you have to input values for tweaks and stuff.
its a bit sorta..i dunno...cold? for me.

but i reckon it';s still great software.

reason is sposed to be WICKED aswell (mate at work uses it),
but it seems a little too complex for the likes of me......i
think its really easy to get into if you use hardware etc...

Fruity Loops is good for anything
Just get nice PlugIns and/or nice sounds, learn how to use
compression and eq and you agree with me that a dope sound
isn't only made in $1000000 studio.
