nothing real new to say, except that i agree that this sounds like its coming from a 16 year old and is realy self defeating. oh and if you want to become a writer, you need to be prepared to face much harsher criticism than this message board. |

sorry if that was a little harsh, but really: some people like to belong to stupid little groups and subcultures, they like to have a certain image for themselves. some (a smaller number of) people dont some people listen to whatever their 'group' listens to.... they listen to what they are marketed. this includes teeny-boppers and nsync and those "grunge" people and 'insane clown pose' or whatever the fuck they like other people like music because thye like it, and it doesn't matter what genre its supposed to be in or who is supposed to listen to it i think u'll find that MOST people into shit like Autechre and Squarepusher and into it because they like it and thats that becuase it certainly doesn't help u fit in to a crowd (ahem, they aren't exactly popular) and it doesn't helpe u craft some image (wtf would Autechre's image be!?!? they dont really have one! i dont konw what an autechre fan dresses like, or what the guys in autechre even look like or dress like) AAAAAND i think u'll also find that MOST people on here dont only like this shit cus nobody else knows it. first of all, its no fun liking music no one else does... and second of all, almost everyone on here also likes some more popular music too (it would be not to..... theres so much of it, ur bound to find something u like!) oh, and (ill just keep using Autechre and squarepusher as examples here) dont help u fit in with the rave/club/party/basically electronic dance music people, cus its not that popular even among fans of electronic music! i know lots of people who are into electronic music...... DJ's, people who go to raves and parties (i dont mean little house parties, i mean parties like raves) .....people who are really into the whole electronic music scene, and who really know thier shit.... ..... SOME of which SORT OF fit into ur "rudie" description.. (almost all dont) anyway, none of them have even heard of autechre, they dont listen to squarepusher or aphex twin, and..... bla bla bla i think u ge |

reading this thread again today only amplify's my feelings in wanting to beat sence into that somewhat empty box known as your head.... just cause there are so many know it all lossers who always come to tremendously idiotic conclusions that degrade others with their simple minded comments and thoughts.... its easy to judge someone.... for example i could say that you are just a depressed little teeniebopper who only wishes and dreams that he could be like the mall rats who think their cool and walk around aimlessly within large crouds to pretend like they have more frends (which is proportional to popularity) than they realy have..... but those mall rats could realy just be normal people trying to buy things with their friends to numb the boardom of the shoping mall.... oh well i was going to say more but why would i waste it on you... i hope one day you say the wrong thing about someone and they beat the shit out of you for it... |

Fuck ''cliques'', fuck all those subcultures... I've been such an individual my whole life. Total fucking loner, nobody understands me or will accept me, and I refuse to whore myself out and wear clothes just to fit in, hell, my mom buys my frickin' clothes. I don't need to make a ''statement'' to anybody. I think I'm impossible to pigeon hole, I don't look or act like a certain group, and my music tastes are pretty eclectic... I just like what I like. Of course, being MYSELF has not won me many friends, but if someone's not going to accept me because I don't spike my hair or something, stupid tool isn't worth it. Not directed at anyone, just a rant. God knows, there's been a LOT of them on this topic. ;-) |
