Does the name Aphex Twin mean a lot to you?
"Well, yes, I guess. Of course, I could use some other
names, but I wanted to use Aphex
Twin just to release my experimental stuff. Lots of people,
I suppose, will who are not
into my stuff are going to buy my (Aphex Twin) album. And I
like the thought that they'll
buy something experimental."

Rollingstone article: go to http://www.rollingstone.com/
enter 'Aphex' in the search box, press search, then click
Drukqs.

Why do anybody care what a fuckwit journalist working for a
lame us rock magazine writes anyway?

I think drukqs is below aphex average. Got some good tracks
like vordhosbn and cock v. 10 though.

Oh man this thread is giving me some good laughs.

To all the people that found 3 songs enjoyable: I dont even
want to know what other music you listen to because it
probably sucks.

Didn't like the piano tracks? WTF are you smoking? Do you
have no sense of melody? Do you even have a sense of
emotion?

I love Drukqs... each song is amazing... my only complaint
is that he should've released the hard drill songs on one
album, and the piano ones on a separate album... as a whole,
it doesn't flow very well, but hey, that music is awesome,
so how can I complain about the album flow? :)

Whoa. Just goes to show how out of touch Rolling Stone are.
It probably scared them.

nah, they were just doing the "radiohead thing" and bashing
it as a release cos it was the first one in a long while and
they wanted to appear "different" from the reviewers who
praise the music (even tho RS had always given afx and rh
great reviews). it's just a stupid journalism thing, very
petty and profit-oriented.

Rolling Stone is the kind of magazine that would give a band
an awful review when their album is released then kiss their
ass when they do an interview with them after they score a
hit

I truly hate the mainstream music press.

Has any big band been pictured on the front cover and then
been dissed inside ?

Nope. ( & ditto Smyrmas' last post)
