i read that BoCs music was originally made to go along with
thier films they make.

And Boards of Canada is reference to the Film Board of
Canada

... so... does anyone know if theyve ever released thier
films? Movie, documentry, short film... whatever?

I mean, if they are so into it, youd think theyd have some
releases right?

Id be veru curious to see them...

I think they are very much into filmmaking, but for some
reason or another, have never released any. Hopefully once
Warp Films is properly up and running there'll be a few DVDs
or something.

Yeah! They're having films by Chris Cunningham and Chris
Morris - and [I think] the Gantz_Graf DVD is the first Warp
Films release. Not sure though...

they used to have little looped clips on their old site...
weird little super8 films..

they said in an interview a while ago...that they were
planning on shooting a super8 film.. they said they were
going to start last summer...and i havent heard anything
about it since..so im not really sure whats up with that..

yea, don't get your hopes up. The Warp films thing hasn't
produced anything...as far as BOC, APHEX, SQUAREPUSHER are
concerned. Spectral Musicians by Chris Cunningham was
suppost to come out this summer, but i haven't seen/heard
anything about that.

i think its a lotta legal mumbo jumbo that keeps things from
ever making it to the listeners

It is highly unlikely the flims made by Hexagon Sun will
appear anywhere in any form outside from their appearances
at BoC's very rare live shows.

You always could get films from the NFBOC from their site...
Pete Standing Alone is an actual docu-flim about an American
Indian.

Probably not if it's on the NFBOC website. It's probably by
the NFBOC.

As a matter of fact, it is by the NFBOC. But that doesnt
mean very much, cause any film that a canadian makes that
uses even the smallest ammount of govt money gets the NFBOC
tag on it.
