IDM around the world

Sometimes it can be hard finding stuff here at cd stores...
and its definatly hard to acctually see concerts. Its also
hard to find people that acctually like IDM as well...

I know its even worse in other places...

But my question is: is it really much better in Britian?

sure its probably easier to see concerts, cause thats were
alot of IDM artists live... but how about finding records,
and finding people who like IDM?

I think it is. ive told people its better over there. more
people accept it i would think. i mean techno is on radio
stations and all that. more people know about it there. i
would assume. europeans are free to wrong me on that.

Yeah, I heard the song too. It's 'Nuno' I'm pretty sure.

I haven't seen the commercial, but I've heard a couple of
people talk about it. I may very well have seen it and not
realized it, though.

To continue the off topic discussion of shoe commercials, I
really like the Nike "Presto" commercials with the guys
running and jumping around and stuff.

Yeah :) And there's the one where the girl drops something
and he goes and gets it, then she drops her purse and he
goes and gets it, then she drops her
dentures and he just slowly walks away.
Hehe.

i wonder what kind of royalties it pays?

it must be a great benifit... although people probably would
get bothered you have your music in a commerical...

but shit... if it pays well, id put my music in a
commercial... its not like i changed anything for them...

just making extra bucks

and lets face it... IDM isnt a good paying feild

man, you live in New York!! It can't be hard to get IDM
there can it? At least IDM of artists like Aphex Twin,
Autechre, BoC, Squarepusher, Plaid, etc, etc... you know,
the big boys... here it's near to impossible to get cds from
them...
