Here's a question...

I'm constantly seeing people posting in threads they think
are crap saying that it IS crap... or other people
constantly posting about how a certain thread has been done
numerous times...

my question is, which is really worse, posting a topic that
has been done a few times, or posting a message in a
perfectly good thread saying how lame it is, or how worn out
it is, when even if it has been done it could still spark
some more conversation if it hadn't been done for a while...
Posting those types of messages, that it's crap and all,
just clutters the damn thread, and is annoying, and I think
ruins a chance for a good discussion...

What pisses me off is people who make stupid topics.... 3/4
of the topics are fuckin' rediculous. STOP STARTIN NEW
TOPICS that are DUMB!!!! Use your head.
OH man, that really pisses me off. IF you want to say
something random and you feel like you just have to say it,
do it in a pre-exsisting thread. GAH!!!

why does it tick you off? What is it doing to you? Just
IGNORE THE DAMN THREAD instead of posting, and I quote,

"This topic is sad - Jedi Chris is sad!

*shakes head in disgust*

And another thing, people engage in conversation on here
too. Here's an idea, get AIM or YAHOO or MSN , talk there.
This is message board, not a delayed- chat- posting-
nonsense- board.
If i was a moderator there would be alot more closed topics
and alot less idiots on here. Ok im done. Im happy now =)

-peace-

YO´funkmaster, this MB´s gone down basically because of
three things_
1.-shit topics
2.-shit opinions
3.-shit newcomers

sorry for being this negative, but ´tis the true, sad but
true.

but you aren't a moderator... and if people want to engage
in conversation on HERE, why can't they? Why does that
bother you? Do you want to be included in the conversation
or something? I really don't see why it should bug you...
all these messages aren't taking up space on YOUR computer,
so just ignore them if you're not interested in posting in
them...

but do we really need to have the same discussions over and
over again?

people seem to have this overwhelming urge to make small
talk about meaningless things just for the sake of talking
(in real life too...not just on the messageboard) maybe if
people spent less time rambling about nonsense...and more
time thinking of more interesting topics...conversations
would be much more worthwhile..

i think having numerous people saying 'this thread is crap'
in all of your threads is a good indication that youre
starting too many stupid threads

i say quality over quantity as far as conversations go...

All I want is some people to stop making pathetic topics
about shit. Simple request. I'd be proactive and start my
OWN topics, but I'm lazy.

Ophecks:

I agree, in fact, not only that, when you don't have
anything to say, DON'T EVEN POST, much less make your own
topic. I think I am actually logged in and browsing this
message board a litle more than some people with a much
higher ost count than me...notice I've been here a very very
long time but am not nearly in the top 10 . (That is not to
say that post # has an inverse relationship with quality of
post)

Funkmaster:

I agree for the most part, two points though:

1. I never say, "This has been done already!" except with
the intent to encourage people to use the search tool. But
honestly, right now I don't blame them, there are so many
threads to search through, and the search tool is
shit. No offense to Tune, who is an amazing
programmer, I just don't think he put his all into the
search function, during beta I suggested that thraeds be
searchable by topic (which it is now) but you can't choose
if you want to search by message, username, or thread title.
And the fact that you can't search for strings, (i.e.
"Aphex" reveals the same amount of results as "Aphex Twin")
renders the search tool pretty much useless now unless you
can think of and remember a rare word that was used in the
thread you want. We just have to hope this is improved in
XLTRONIC

2. Isn't there some irony in starting a thread telling
other people (who post that other people's posts/threads are
crap) that their posts/threads are crap? Kind of circular
logic. =)

3. Fuckit, I love this board. Aphex Twin is god. Glad
there's people out there somewhere to share it with.

Thank you for your attention.
