in an effort to end that silly topic, ill answer your last
2 posts here

thanks for taking time out to listen!

all my songs I did on Reason 1.0

Ihbaaott is meant to be repetitive, and kind of
meditative... but yes I see how somes peoples taste might
not like it, however many people have said it is alittle too
repetitive, so this is something ill reconsider when i do my
final editing on all my songs

Anima Mundi was made about 3-4 months ago, and was one of my
first complete peices i did on Reason. Before then I was
using hardware (that I no longer like...). Yes, it can be a
bit stagnent, esspecially that long stretch before the
breakdown.

Id love to add voices in my stuff... but as of now i have
access to samples, and I also want to be very careful not to
sound like BoC (my fav band)

but, again, thanks for your comments and time to listen to
my stuff

ill definiatly keep in mind your thoughts!

-Zeus

ah yes... the little error in the track names

no that is definatly me

I was using that name before I came up with Kcinsu, and for
some reason, when i renamed it, it is still called that when
opened?!

yeah... unfortunatly the choir presets arnt very good

if i had it my way id have a real full orchestra!.... but
:( ..... hehe

i love the power of vocal things like that... and until i
can get people to record my stuff live, this cheesy little
vocal sample will have to do!

:)

oh... and the new names... they mean something... but I cant
tell you what... it would probably ruin it for you :)

just imagine what it means to YOU!

:)

Zeus,.....

maybe it would B a good idea 2 export your finished
(seperate) tracks (synth track/beat track/bass track etc) in
Reason 2 wave-files.

U could further spice them up in an editor like wavelab or
soundforge with plugins ,..so the synth lines don't sound 2
basic.(U know what I mean,...reason-like)

Then import the adjusted seperate tracks in a sequencer like
cubase. I think this will b a big improvement 2 your
tracks,.......

They sound good now,..but U could make them much better with
manipulation in Cubase IMO

you mean add effects and pluggins to the synth lines and
drums etc?

not a bad idea....

yes,......this is what I do.

I use programs like Fruityloops and Reason 2 make synth
patterns.

Export them 2 wavefiles.

mutilate them in wavelab,.cut them up.

And import them in Cubase ,.in where I sequence the lill
pieces. In cubase U could add even more plugins on top,.or
extra vst-instruments.

what do you do in the wavelab? im not sure i understand?

offline plugexpert from Nijmegen (Netherlands, The) on 2002-07-26 02:05 [#00324815]

in wavelab U open the wave-files,....so U get a sample
image.

stereo or mono,.....U have millions of options 2
rape/mutilate change the sound in whatever way U desire.

Especially if U have soundmanipulating plugins in your vst
folder. (there R many free ones downloadable from the web)

In wavelab U can adjust the plugins realtime so that U can
hear the altered sound. This change can B saved under
another name or over the existing file.

U could of course ,.also just open the wavefiles straight
away in cubase,..and throw plugins on top.

but processor wise things can get heavy ,.if U have lots of
shit running at the same time like me

is this wav lab for mac?

<--- mac man

uh,.ohhhhhh

Mac,...hmmmmmmm,.....I don't know man :-( I use the pc
thingy,...U know paradise for free audio software.

but there is a cubase for the mac,..so there also should b a
wavelab.

'bout the wave-files,.they're called different on a mac,..I
think(?)
U export 2 another extension,... ...forgot the name,.but the
principal is the same.

Anyways,.the same manipulation can b done in logic,.or any
other professional audio sequencer. It doesn't have 2 B
wavelab/cubase

i have cubase on the mac... and an audio thing called
sparkle... but i dont if sparkle can do vst...

ill give it a shot on cubase though!

thanks for the info man!

btw... im actually thinkin about using logic instead... it
uses the ex24 softsampler which is supposed to be amazing!

any thoughts on that?

what kind of pluggins does logic use? is it vst compatable>

I'm not well informed on the mac audio warez,.but I know
that logic comes equiped with a nice bundle of plugins
straight away. (cubase 2 btw)

But if they're called Vst (?),....that shit is patented by
steinberg,.maybe U need some carrier plugin,..like a
vst-wrapper.

But basic plugins like :
chorus/reverb/flanger/phaser/distortion etc should b there
for your pleisure.

check out this link for free downloadable plugins for pc and
mac:

whoa hey jonas did you see what futuremusic magazine said
about you in last months issue? (might have been sound on
sound magazine) Quote "Warp records better sign this guy up
or lock him up, one or the other... " and thejn it said
something about you being amazing. Anyway somehow that
statement stuck in my head and now here you've been on the
mb all along and I didnt even realise. I will have to check
out your tunes. Cheers man respect for that too.

Taoist Blockade ,....yeah it was Future Music mag.

Don't know which demo they reviewed of me,.'cause I've send
them a lot. According 2 the site ,.it takes about 3 months
for them 2 listen 2 a demo,.so it prolly was an
oldy.(meaning : more breakbeat-like tracks)

It's cool that they gave me those 2 lines of fame,....but a
half year before they also reviewed 1 of my demo's.

Back then it was some dude there who reviewed all incoming
demo's,..from rock 2 terrorcore. He slated my shiznit saying
something like :

Jonas the Plugexpert : brilliant name ,..shame the music
isn't as entertaining.

hehe,.....anywayz I'm kinda pissed right now as this label
who'd sort a like promised me a release on a comp. fucked me
over,....(I think(?))

ah well ,enough text for now,.....I'mma b working on some
new tunes.

Peace

"That sister looked hot fo sho sho."

Thnx m8!

"R u hispanic?"

nah man,....it's funny ,..last year I went 2 Turkey and all
of the people (working in the hotel or restaurant or
selling shiznit on the street),.thought I was a Turk,....

Same few weeks back in Spain,...they thought I was Spanish.
Must have a universal look or something.

My father is half Dutch / half indonesian and my mother is
fully Dutch.
So that makes me,.err uhm,.....well a universal looking
dude.

Why don't U upload your tracks in Zebox,...is free up 2 3
tracks. If U already have a batch of tunes ready,.I suggest
soundclick,......
