Possible Drukqs promo track?

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-02 22:51 [#00019417]

What do you think? Please, discuss.

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-02 22:57 [#00019418]

The mp3 info shows this: "no artist - granite".

Prolly a fake after all - but who knows.

ross on 2001-08-02 23:13 [#00019422]

i dont think that's aphex, doesnt sound like something he
would do..but i could be wrong

RECYCLE from roca,ne on 2001-08-02 23:26 [#00019428]

i like it a lot, hes not gonna give you what you already
know, he gonna make you expand your mind and think.
thats why hes a genious (sp?)
and i cant wait for the new album and cd single...
until then ill keep holding my breath

Loogie from UK on 2001-08-02 23:31 [#00019429]

Don't think it's him, and it doesn't do much for me either.
Hope it's not him.

Beef Fog from io on 2001-08-03 01:20 [#00019437]

I'm not sure thats him...it doesn't do alot for me
either...
question: if richard recorded himself taking a shit, would
people still buy it and think it was genius?...

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-03 01:25 [#00019438]

Well, I think (I hope) it's a fake. Although I'll keep the
track here and we'll see what happens. Doesn't matter. The
Drukqs-hysteria is here and we can't really stop it. Tons of
suspicious tracks floating around.

eastman on 2001-08-03 01:52 [#00019441]

Not Aphex.... to simple!

Arch Rival from NY on 2001-08-03 06:48 [#00019457]

NOOOOOOOOOOO thats not even a track, its just annoying noize
(simple noize).

Its NOT AFX, its a amateur.

Ounfount Qelox from new zealand on 2001-08-03 08:02 [#00019464]

dunno .. sort of what one would expect that virgin airlines
track to sound like ? maybe. dunno ... would definetly need
an album around it and repeated listenings to digest this
one. Quite intense - although there is quite a bit of
computer crap going on - so basically dannae really knoe !

=|R3FL3X|= from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-08-03 09:01 [#00019470]

er - I doubt its him.!

Lord Of The Beats from Norden on 2001-08-03 09:10 [#00019471]

ITS SO SIMPLE. ITS NOT APHEX TWIN.

Lord Of The Beats from Norden on 2001-08-03 09:11 [#00019472]

ITS ONE OF THE WEAKEST TRACKS I EVER HEARD.

Lord Of The Beats from Norden on 2001-08-03 09:12 [#00019473]

I DONT CONSIDER THAT ANYTHING BUT BÙLLSHIT.

DAVE from Munich on 2001-08-03 09:21 [#00019477]

I think it´s not him. Too simple structured.
It gives me nothing!

Krewtfark from Texas on 2001-08-03 10:58 [#00019487]

WTF?

The bobble twin from Newyork,NY on 2001-08-03 11:01 [#00019488]

If this is an aphex twin track,it sure is dull...

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-03 11:07 [#00019489]

Seems like we all agree about this...

Archrival from New York on 2001-08-03 11:55 [#00019496]

Yep

Duran on 2001-08-03 13:40 [#00019513]

This track is shit. I hope it's a fake. Where did it come
from?

*melack. from bcn on 2001-08-03 13:41 [#00019514]

no comments are needed...
shit is the word

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-03 13:42 [#00019515]

Sent to my by unknown origin with the words "I'm naughty -
but here is a promo for your site."

hmmm...

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-03 13:42 [#00019516]

"to me" that is

module from Norway on 2001-08-03 13:59 [#00019521]

...ok...? I honestly really doubt this is aphex, just some
jerk trying to fool us, sounds especially like that after
reading how it was sent to phobiazero, \"im naughty but
here\" ? i dunno but that sounds to me like a fake.

Archrival from New York on 2001-08-03 14:28 [#00019528]

Arrrggghhhh.
Stop this discussion.
ITS NOT AFX.

module from Norway on 2001-08-03 14:30 [#00019529]

No need to get pissed!
its just a discussion, if you dont want to hear anymore
about it dont come here!

Lord Of The Beats from Norden on 2001-08-03 14:42 [#00019530]

Varfor ger vi denne idioten uppmarksamhet genom att tala om
en lat som suger fet pung???

Laten ar definitivt inte gjord av Aphex Twin, det hor man.
Kolla pa Joyrex.com hur manga idioter som skickat in
material bara for att fa exposure.
Jag haller med om att v borde sluta ge den har javla idioten
mer uppmarksamhet (an vad han redan fatt).

Han sitter just nu och skrattar at alla idioter som ans tror
att det kan vara AFX.
han skickade laten bara for att javlas.
So shut up.

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-03 14:58 [#00019534]

Lord Have Mercy from the Womb on 2001-08-03 15:01 [#00019535]

I wish I had paid attention in Swedish classes at school.

MagicDog303 from Denver, Colorado on 2001-08-03 16:23 [#00019554]

It's not Richard's work. Especially on a SUPER-ANTICIPATED
album like Drukqs, there will be NO leaking prior to
official release date. I've been watching the net for
almost 6 years, and have never seen a legitimate mp3 leak
out ahead of time. "They" are very careful about matters
like that.

whoa! on 2001-08-03 16:39 [#00019555]

this can't be richards work \:*

BMF82 from Toronto on 2001-08-03 17:20 [#00019559]

Reminds me of G.S.Y.B.E. or TajMahal, not Aphex Twin. Even
his ambient tracks have melody and harmony, whereas this
track has nothing but static.
It's not very interesting, in my opinion.

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-03 17:22 [#00019560]

Should I remove the track and the news-flash?

Stevo from Denmark on 2001-08-03 17:40 [#00019562]

Yes I think you should remove the news flash.

But anyway keep em fake tracks coming its always intresting
to hear new tracks!!!!

Even if they are fake, but know we togheter at your forum
has decided that its fake, so now TAKE IT AWAY!!

Post new tracks if you get any exclusives.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK PHOB (thankyou for a good site)!!!

tampax twin from not the UK on 2001-08-03 18:06 [#00019563]

it's crap. the only way i could consider it possibly NOT
crap is if it's just a small part of an actual track.

eSDe from france on 2001-08-03 18:48 [#00019568]

Nobody can say if this track is made by AFX, remember Daft
Punk with "one more time", but this is an exeption because
her abum is very good. The structure of this track isn t
very expensive but...
"qui vivra verra"

alan d from davis,CA on 2001-08-03 19:00 [#00019570]

ok we all know it's not AFX or anything, but i think it
sounds ok.... just turn it up reeeeal loud....

Taxidepalix from vancouver on 2001-08-03 19:45 [#00019572]

Hmmmm. I quess this is a ripe time for upcoming musicians to
gaid exposure. Just cut a track, and put aphex twin on the
tag. Heh.

PoLYGon from virginia on 2001-08-03 20:13 [#00019575]

ummmmm i'm pretty open minded as far as music goes, but
ummmm, as far that little tunes value goes, you could
possibly use it to scare the living shit out of someone in
the car next to you, or your neighbors, whilst performing
some satanic ritual.

Crappy things.
However,
A tiny little wolf.
My twenty pieces of money.
Left.
Righty in my noisy little canoe.
The tools are in my manchesters.
What did you say?

sammalhabe on 2001-08-03 21:51 [#00019592]

aaaaaaaaaaaa...... I cant fuckin belive it!
a new aphex album is coming!!!!!
been avile for too long!!!
cant let that happen again!!!!

fukqs from + on 2001-08-03 22:51 [#00019602]

put it this way: it's not AFX - unless it is some little
ditty - so it's not AFX

CUN8er LASIT from LASiT on 2001-08-03 22:55 [#00019603]

Ahhh... how scepticism enters everyones mind.

fyayh from Hellington, OH USA on 2001-08-04 01:42 [#00019607]

Yeah, it's probably a fake, but who knows? Me, I don't
have too much of a problem with the track. On top of that,
who is to say what the album will sound like? It might be a
complete piece of shit for all we know! That could be his
complete intent!
All I know is, with Aphex, if you expect anything you'll
either be completely surprised or let down. When it comes
out a lot of us will probably think it's shit and then 2
years later we'll think it's the best album ever made!
On top of that, let's kill the "everything he puts out is
wonderful" statements (though I don't think I've seen a
single one here, thank heaven!) because we all know we don't
like EVERYTHING he's put out. Aphex is great, but he makes
music he enjoys, and if we enjoy it, hey, happy accident!
Last but not least, to MagicDog303, on your comment about
never seeing a track show up before the album was released
and your having watched the net for 6 years, what on earth
are you talking about??? It happens all the time! Tracks get
leaked like butter goes on muffins!
Biggest leak syndrome... Sony sends out promos so far in
advance that you can download records months before the
release dates are finalized! I had Rage Against The
Machine's Battle For Los Angeles two and a half months
before the record was released and a date hadn't even been
set!
Remember the controversy several years ago over an Oasis
track from one of their records showing up before promos
were sent out and their label shutting down fan sites? To
take it a step further, what about the demo of Windowlicker
that's been floating around since before anyone knew what it
was? And everyone thought that one was fake too...
There is, in my opinion, a good chance that a few tracks
could float around, especially after a few more tracks or
full-length copies are distributed to industry or press
people. Is NME the only organization outside of Warp with a
copy right now? Keep an eye peeled and you could be the
leak. Just remember to support your favorite artists.
Also, if your favorite artists are the backstreet boys,
britney spears or any of the other no-talent hacks out there
right now, GET THE HELL OFF THIS SITE!

fyayh

P.S.-Yeah, I do sound mad, don't I? But think about it, it's
how it is...

pokeas from deleted on 2001-08-04 03:12 [#00019609]

It can be afx.

It's souds minimalistik. A Good idea.

I think it might be him.

EH?!?!? Windowlicker was leaked MONTHS before the EP came
out and Richard almost pulled it due to it leaking out, and
tons of other albums/tracks get leaked in advance, from
WARP, Rephlex, SKAM, etc. If you do promos, someone always
either gives it to someone untrustworthy or they themselves
are untrustworthy. I wouldn't be surprised if the tracks
surfaced in a few days even though promos haven't gone out
yet. Someone had to have recorded the listening party since
security was lax I heard.

Phobia: Dunno if you got a email from WARP, but if you get
any 'real' DrukQs tracks, DO NOT release them on the site,
even samples - WARP/Richard really want to keep things tight
until the right moment. That, and the fact they can persue
action against our sites if we post even clips of the
tracks.

Evil Taxidermist from vancouver on 2001-08-04 07:35 [#00019634]

That legal action thing. Even tho it is somewhat reasonable,
it really bothers me.

Joyrex from joyrex.com of course! on 2001-08-04 07:47 [#00019635]

Well, I really don't blame them - think of the hard work and
preparation they've put into this whole thing - just to have
some pimply wanker go and spoil it all.

Evil Taxidermist from vancouver on 2001-08-04 10:38 [#00019657]

I hear what your saying. Its just this whole money for music
thing. I mean, a lot of work goes into it all. I know how
hard it is.

But still.

Its punnishing people for admiration. As maligned as that
admiration may be.

Not really criticizing or complaining. It just disturbs me a
bit.

=|R3FL3X|= from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 2001-08-04 10:49 [#00019660]

Another Canadian. Excellent.

I think that if he had some new work, around and it was made
public {on this site, or Joyrex} that I wouldn't listen to
it anyway. Id wait for the album to come out in the first
place.

I wouldn't want my songs {if I was AFX or others} previewed
on some website{S} or anything like that. People should
wait.
