lame's the best encoder for higher bitrates (192kbps+). It's
a command line program but there are a few friendly Windows
front-ends like WinLame.

Yeah, LAME is the one to go for...

Used to conjunction with EAC or CDEX (both CD rippers that
integrate with LAME)...

For the real deal on how to do encode professionally..check
out r3mix.net...

Yeah. Too many advertisments on trying to get you to upgrade
to their full version. Its like, I don't give a fuck about
