Existential Poem about Super Markets

Oh Mr. Supermarket,
If only you exist.
I would ask you many questions,
about the price of fish.

Why are baskets used,
Why not have trained owls.
That can fly around the building,
With claws filled with tins and sanitary towels.

If you could only see me Mr. Supermarket,
You would see my happiness and delight.
I dream of marrying a supermarket,
When I stand up for six hours at night.

If only I were not invisible,
We could stroke and lick and kiss.
Would you have sense and feelings,
If you actually exist.

Teeth - 2002
