Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-01 22:14 [#00019202]

Don't underestimate them.....they are just checking things
out...you know...exploring new paths...I would have done the
same thing actually...

pauwl from the dark on 2001-08-01 22:17 [#00019205]

yeah, i get where they are comming from, always pushing the
the bounderies etc, never following, and i respect that.
but its just a bit too much for my old head these days! :P

I think that Autechre is amazing. very complex song
structures indeed. Its hard to go one way and sound so
"right" when you are bringing up new styles, or paths like
you say.

The new Warp-sign Brothomstates is very Gescom-ish.
Check them out. Click here for samples.

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-01 22:23 [#00019210]

Here is another one. I'm really getting into their stuff.... Hell

pauwl from the dark on 2001-08-01 22:23 [#00019211]

pauwl from the dark on 2001-08-01 22:26 [#00019215]

ja that second one was my type of cake

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-01 22:27 [#00019216]

"Brothomstates debut album, CLARO (Warp 88) will be released
on 17th September."

pauwl from the dark on 2001-08-01 22:32 [#00019217]

i do believe i shall be purchasing that, as well as the ep
on monday, woohoo!

DAVE from Munich on 2001-08-02 08:08 [#00019263]

Yeah this one from GESCOM is great.
I bought it last year in the HARDWAX Record Shop in Berlin.
This is a very good shop fellas.
If you ever pay Berlin a visit. Check this Shop out. There
are often hard to get records to find.
I love their music besides AFX very much.
Just how they built their tracks and the melancholic strings
of the older tunes. With every record they push the limits
and I like that.
They are innovative and search for something that I cannot
explain but anyhow feel.

Recently when confield was released I had the chance to see
them live in a club in Munich.

THAT WAS MINDBLOWING !!!!!!!!!!!!

They appeared as AUTECHRE and where bad as fuck. The whole
room was dark when they played. No lights in use and there
was magic in the air. They played very strange - dark and
melancholic tunes. Kind of similar to the confield album but
anyhow also different to that one. Very difficult to
explain.

Got to check them out if you got the chance to see them
!!!!!

By the way Phobiazero !

Brothomstates sounds nice.

Do you know Funkstörung ?

I got an LP which is called " Do not Destroy "
They sound quite similar to Brothomstates to me. If you
don´t got it you got to check this one out I guess.
I love that album.
Also on 2 or 3 tracks with a rhyming mc over the complex and
mechanic sounding beats and experimental structures of quite
nice intelligent electronica.

Greetings.

Tek from Australia on 2001-08-02 12:07 [#00019315]

e-mail me, (-K

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-02 12:36 [#00019322]

Tek: Done!

Dave: My offer remains....

Earface on 2001-08-02 13:28 [#00019327]

Hey Phobia, I've been to a couple of Aphex gigs (Nesh) when
Brothomstates have been there. I'm not sure who was who
though (apart from Rich, of course).

I remember this one wicked act that had this tune that went:
"bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy drugsy
drugsy drugsick drugsick drugsick drugsick drugsick legsick
lemsick lemsip lemsip lemsip lemsip lemsip" or something
like that. Was it them?

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-08-02 14:08 [#00019333]

Earface: Never heard of that bounce-track, really.... it
could be!

DAVE from Munich on 2001-08-02 14:12 [#00019335]

Hey Phob !

Sorry but I can´t sell that record.
It´s the only one I got from Gescom and I like it too
much.

Greetings.
