..not really...
but the japanese release has an extra track titled MCR Quarter, and it sounds fucking great. i had the song for a while downloaded as just "Ae - live in manchester 5", and it was totally fucked to find out they'd actually put it out it as a special just for the japanese release. it's definitely the "clubbiest" thing i've heard out of them. makes me want to dance.
download it if you can find it. they did.

It's because Japanese CDs are much more expensive because piracy is kinda massive there...

Only foolish Americans pay 18.00USD for a CD.
'Tis true, the Japanese get the bonus tracks not because of rampant piracy (which there is) but because Japan is a tight market and they demand something extra.

Oddly enough though, no RDJ release in Japan ever had a bonus track.

I think it's because it would be much cheaper to get import CDs in Japan from the US so the domestic release there has something extra to keep the customers buying the Japanese ones..
If that makes sense.

..There is a RDJ release that's Japan only...
In fact, I can think of 2...
a) WindowLicker - Their version came with another mix not on any western version...
b) The Bowie "Heroes" remix...was only available in Japan...
There might be more but they are the 2 that immediately spring to mind...

I've a feeling that the Aphex remix of Gavin Bryers "Sinking of the Titannic" was also a Japan Only release...
Can anyone think of any others?...

Have we got anyone from Japan on the board?...
Maybe they can tell us more about the situation there....
And decode that writing on 51/13...I guess it's just the title but I'd be intrigued to hear the proper translation...
