Ever go clubbing?

I just got back from a dance club, yes thats right, the
pop/techno kind. Too bad all of our clubs suck. But I went
anyways out of pure unadulterated boredom.

I have a question aimed toward the ladies (guys can answer
too if they know), but what is your policy on dancing? If a
guy comes up to you and starts grinding do you push him
away? Or do you like that kind of attention?

Also any other pointers would be welcome too.

a dance club doesnt equal a all access pass to girls.
its just like flirting... you gotta make eye contact first,
and see if there is an interest from the girl...

you cant just randomly go up to some unexpecting girl and
start dancing all up on her without some sort of OK from the
girl.

I find that if a girl is dancing face to face or in a circle
with other girls, its best to steer clear !!

If there are 2 girls , obviously together, but
dancing/standing side by side or a few feet apart ( not face
to face) , thats the time to move for then they are open to
advances.

I hate clubs . Wish I could one day open my own based on
positive human contact without drugs..... and have great
music... are there any anywhere ?

Yeah i agree with Zeus.
You have to check the vibes first.

I used to go out on clubs every week , mainly DNB clubs.
But now im bored with it, same thing everytime , now i only
go out when one of my mates are playing or if there is some
bigshoot dj you can't miss.
And none of my mates like EEM like i do.
Of course there is always Raimons but he is on some medicine
so he can't drink and he never has any money anyways...
I managed to drag a couple of mates to a cool EEM party one
time but they really ruined it for me by complaining about
the (great!!!) music all night.

Yeah, I thought it'd be great to open a club/bar like that.
One where the bar staff can actually serve drinks, where the
glasses are chilled and the vodka is only polish or absolut
vodka and it's kept in a freezer. One where the music is
good and the people aren't fools. Shame not enough people
would go to one for it to make a profit.

*heh* -that all depends... -if u just starts grinding
without beeing sure if you're welcome *lol* then u can't
expect them to dance with u....

make some eyecontact at first -and if we wanna dance -there
won't be any doubt in your mind ;)
but really... sometimes we just wanna make the first move
ourselfes ;)

but personly i just go clubbing for the fun of it... not for
all the cheesy pick up lines *argh* -really guys... they
suck!!!

Actually the problem with clubs is that they serve all the
wrong types of drugs. Alcahol is shit. Apologies to all you
alcaholics out there, but its true.

I want to start my own club too. Except there will be around
10 different rooms in the club and each room will have a
different theme. One would be a jungle, another would be out
in space, another could resemble stonehenge, etc. And each
room would have an appropriate dj to complement the scene.
Bouncers at the door would only allow certain drugs, but
confiscate others. No crack/heroin.

I've never gone clubbing because I can't stand the music and
any girl I would meet there would have nothing in common
with me anyway BECAUSE SHE'S AT THE CLUB

So I'd rather stay home and go to this board

I'll ever get a chick is if I pay her.

One where the barstaff are all enjoying being there too, not
just suffering the abusive workload...
where the only dresscode is a smile...
where the DJ can actually accomodate my requests to PLAY
SOME APHEX !!! :)

All the students in my town seem to actively hone in on
cheesy chart music, so I'd have to emigrate if it was to
work...

I'd ideally like to run a backpackers bar in Vietnam ,
playing SAW in my beach-hut
*dreams*

ictroboy - you sound as closed minded as the pop listeners
themselves. an attitude liek that will probably lose you
some interesting experiences.

i dont like dance music itself, but go clubbing
occasionally. its fun to dance, theres nice women, and my
friends are there.

going to drum n bass clubs is better tho, i reckon.

Astrid right...London has so many great clubs it's easy to
find something that suits...

And clubs during the week do seem to be less full of people
on the pull (which is generally the most tiresome reason to
go to a club anyway...)...

od_step_cloak:

trust me, there couldn't be any possible experiences for me
in a place like that.

i enjoy small pubs, with like no music...

i used to go clubbing three times / week, but it's such
crap. nowadays only forest parties and chillout events get
me out of my place.

and if someone comes grinding or bugging me while i dance,
it really ruins my mood.

i'm not a bad person and i like getting to know people but
silly things REALLY get me pissed of

I go out from time to time if there is some one playing
who's music I enjoy and I go for the energy and fun that
goes along with, and to dance...I do take dancing seriously,
and if some guy comes up to me and trys to ..gross.."grind"
on me, it is INSTANTLY stopped by first the natural reaction
of the disgusted look then followed by "I don't dance like
that, go away now.

MY PLACE IS IN THE CLUBS. Or rather, it will be (I'm 15
years old, can't go to clubs yet.) However, it is true, my
place IS in the clubs. That is where I belong, but not as a
clubber, as a dancer, as you might suspect.

My domain is at the DECKS. DJing is what I am destined to
do. I can't wait till I can dj at clubs. Soon I'm going to
start doing dj mixes at my local university radio station,
CJSR, so that'll get me lots of experience.

I LOVE clubs!!! The atmosphere, the music, the ENERGY. And
of course you fellow Aphex Twin fans would no doubt find the
music they play there (hard house, house, trance, etc.),
cheesy, but come on, any kind of electronica is cheesy
compared Aphex Twin, so stop comparing and take it for what
it is.

It may not have the depth of IDM, but it's just as good, if
only in different ways.

my ex and i used to go to raves alot. i've only been to a
few clubs in my lifetime, but they all sucked in my opinion.

my ex and i used to go to raves alot, though; which were
tops. lots of sexuality and f-f-fantastic music. best set
of electronic music i'd ever heard in a public place. heard
a track or two off of AB3 by AFX.
