I just found out about this today..

It's the project invoving Trent Reznor, Maynard James
Keenan, Charlie Clouser, and a few other names...

The website just has photos of them looking intent on doing
something. Probaly making some music.

You can see that they're using Reason in the first pic!

have a looksee

the first pic)! ^^

i'm looking forward to this... :)

Software (15 mintutes away from me!), and Tool are touring
again this year.

eventually they'll release an album, it's just maynard is
juggling to other projects at the time so it can tend to get
a bit skethcy at times i imagine.

hmm..there was a Pigface song called Tapeworm and Trent was
a part of that incarnation of Pigface.I wonder if that's
what inspired this project

U know, it takes so damn long cuz trents a game freq....and
gets second thoughts about stuff...not that i know him. i
only base that on interviews i've read in the past.

To b honest with u i like the fragile...but it sounds like
something put together in a matter of minutes, i wasn't
really blown away when i heard it the first time....i can't
believe he had the help of Bob Ezrin for the
project....really cool.

i theorize he released The Fragile to gain cash to buy
gadgest to help him make Doom 3 noises!

do you insinuate The Fragile was released only to make
money?!

LIAR! BLASPHEMER!
The Fragile is a masterpiece! (well, imho. :))

of course they'll release an album sometime. they said
sometime ago that it would be ready in 2002. add an another
year... my guess is september 2003.

but it'll be amazing: trent + maynard, holy fuck!

gotta love trent...true, they've been working on it for 8
years, and they've only really been working for the last
2...but still, it's gotta be good. everything with tr is
good.

could be a beautiful disaster

with that many uber smart guys all bashing heads, unless
they are pretty chill, it could get messy.

I don't trust that many gifted people together all trying to
work together on one song at a time.

Maybe I'm pessimistic, I can see it being genious in parts,
and just boring in others.

Yeah, I'm a pessemist, can't wait to be proven wrong on this
one though, that would be global.

nah... i have been watching this project for about 5 years
!!!!!, the album is fucking permanently delayed.... even
though Trent said it will be released in the "near
fututre"...........
but if it does eventually get released it will be fucking
GREAT !!!!

i REALLY REALLY hope that something comes outta this. it
would be a real shame if they were to never release
anything. *wonders*

it's one of those projects that you wonder if they are just
doing it for themselves....like a 'jam' session.
*hopes not tho*

=0)

i don't want to burst anyon'es bubble...but this is totally
a pigface rippoff, which, in essence, is a way for diffrent
artists to gangbang you. Each one will fuck you for your
money, by making catchy music, lyrics you want to hear, etc,
and whenever artist "x" is done with what ever hole he chose
to fuck you in (ie. maynard is doing only vox, some random
nin tech is doind only certian aspects of productio) he'll
quit, and they rotate in another "SUPER" musician to take
his place.

backlash for all the file trading, IMO. I know full well
that both t.reznor, and maynard k. despise p2p's in every
fassion.

i've heard many times that maynard joined up with billy
howdell for APC just to buy a house.

i have to hear it, to have a better opinion, but at the time
being...i'm calling everyone who's involved in this project
a fucking musical whore, with utter HATE to their fan base.

what a fucking perfect way to kill a genre. bye, bye,
american industrial...i knew thee well.

you're right about their views of p2p apps, but that's
bullshit about APC, he does music with billy because he
LIKES his music and hell, he likes billy. he was a guitar
tech for tool and nin for years, they're friends. and as
pigface were not music's first supergroup, i don't agree
with your analysis. if you've read the interviews then you
know that they're making a point NOT to have it sound like a
various artists album, nin with guest singers. it's its own
entitity and there aren't all that many guests at this
point. reserve your rebukes of the music till you actually
HEAR it. and btw they never said it'd be industrial, i don't
think nin have ever been faithful to that genre anyway.

this tapeworm thing was supposed to come out fall 2000, i
dont see it coming out for many more years if it does at
all. page hamilton of helmet i believe is involved too. i
think i read a recent interview where trent said he hasnt
worked on it for a while but that charlie clouser has been
doing a lot of work on it recently. i could be wrong though
about that.

page has recorded for it, as has phil anselmo of pantera,
neither are necessarily on the album. i'm wondering if
anything pre-2002 is going to be used since all that stuff
was recorded with charlie clouser who has apparently left
nin and tapeworm a few months ago.
