what exactly do these terms mean?
extended play and long play?
and LP's... they are just a 12".... a full album right?
and EP's are singles.
and whats with 35's and 45's
i dont know hardly anything about vinyl... please educate me!

There are a few strange laws around. I don't think a single in the UK is allowed to have more than 4 tracks by law. That's why you'll often see a 5th hidden track on singles.

uk singles can only have three tracks or less if they are going to be eligible for the uk chart....
zeus: 33 and 45 are the two different speeds that records can play at - 33 and 45 rpm (revs per minute).
generally, lps (12") play at 33 and singles (7" mostly, but some 12"s) play at 45. these can differ though, cos you get 7"s that play at 33.
