Wow...just listened to this after dling it from SS...

It sounds so much like Aphexs version it's uncanny...the
drums are a bit shite compared to the original (no surprise
there) & I'm not a big guitar fan but props due I guess for
getting this close...

Mike P does a great Aphex voice impression...could almost
imagine it was AFX...

isn't it fucking incredible? it's what we've dreamed about
for years. i made some comments about it in a prev thread
about this track.

p.s. any way you can get the song to LeCoeur? the page went
down before she could get it, and i can't send it for 2
weeks.

I'm just amazed at how well it fits into a "rock" format...I
loved the electronic vibe of the original but they even when
converted to Guitar, Bass & Drums, it still sounds
wicked...

Wonder if this is gonna bring in any more fans for
AFX?...we'll have to keep an eye open for em on boaord in
the next few weeks/months...

re:Lecoeur: best way is to get from Soulseek, I reckon...I
think it's a big big to email unfortunately...

oh yeah, tits...is that Shynola video you were after the
Pyramid Song one?...I've got a 20mb mpg of that if you want
it...(I did see a 60meg version but the guy dissapeared
before I could get it..)..

no it's not pyramid song, i got that one, it's something
shynola made for unkle (james lavelle).. it's an anti-war
film, i posted a link about it in a prev thread ("unkle
jand" i think)

as for the cover song, a LOT of indie and punk rock fans at
least know (and most of them RESPECT) aphex, i think many
will recognize the cover and probably appreciate the song
and original artist more.

I'm only on 56K at home...

got a lot of patience and unlimted access time so that kinda
makes up for it...

Took the plunge and got the 1mb service. If I ever have to
go back to 56k it will probably be like having my nipples
slowly twisted off!

I keep meaning to...it's only another £10 a month extra to
get cable here...Hopefully their cable service is as good
their dialup as the 56K I've got is the best I've ever had
and always get a decent connect speed...some of the other
56K lines I've had have been awful (BT..)..

Think I've been a bit spoilt by the connection at work which
is stupid fast...

You gotta think how much money you SAVE by paying that extra
£10... it works out well for me ;o)

BTW, I'm listening to this EP AGAIN cause it's fucking
awesome!! The first track is something else!!!!

yeah, I know...need to get together £50 for the
installation but they keep having these odd promotions with
low prices so might wait for next one of them & then go for
it...like you say £10 is nothing really & being able to use
SS at fullspeed would be something else...

Yeah I forgot about installation... that sucks. I'm lucky
cause I get everything half price... connections *winks*

I love how the guitarist pulls off that synth part in the
beginning so perfectly; it's great.

I was kind of upset that they did that song. It has that
fuzzed out synth that already sounds a lot like a guitar --
it seemed too easy to translate to a rock song.

But they did a good job with it.

The first two tracks are the best I think...

But the riff they do during the second part of 'Daddy' is
amazing... first rate!
