Is it cheating to use artificial methods to achieve Satori
(a state of enlightenment) using drugs.

This may be the reason why they exist in the first place.

hmmmm, trying to reach a state of enlightenment by poisoning
the body sounds a bit strange to me... I highly doubt that
this "state of enlightenment" by using drugs would be very
constructive on the longer term...
