'BLACK BLACK BLACK, Like the endless balckness of space that
journees into the casum of clams!!! Do you hear the wind,
hear what it says...'Hello'

It's the most BRILLIIIAAANT ever made!!!!!

My favourite character has to be Rowley Birkin. "(.....) the
whole thing was completely made out of rubber...(.....)
remember? heh.

Unlucky Alf, Bob Fleming and Swiss Toni are funny as well.

What's your fav. sketch, guys??

for me, it has to be the old geezer who desperatly wants to
help out with direction...and he burst out "WHAT IF YOU'RE
STUCK..IN A HOLE!! IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?!! WITH AN
OOOWL!!!!!

but there are too many to choose from, all of them are
great.

Swiss Toni and Johnny Black are the best. I also like that
twisted musical they did, with the magical bridge that
played Gary Numan's 'Cars' if you walked over it....

*trapped in a bottle of shadows!*

I think Fast Show is superior to Smack the Pony..

Smack the Pony is a bit too 'normal' for me.. (although it
can be good..)

I like Swiss Tony the best..

Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful
woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time.
You've got to stir... gently, and
firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak.
And then you
put in the milk.

RT:
I hope you don't mind me askin', but - I've always wondered
- why are you
called "Swiss" Toni? I mean, your not actually Swiss, are
you? Is it cos -
y'know - Swiss things are reliable, an' that?

CH:
Well it's partly that, Paul. But it's mostly because I'm
built like an alp, and ridged like a Toblerone.

[slight pause]

RT:
Really?

CH:
Yes, when a lady's been with Swiss Toni, she doesn't forget
it in a hurry.
There's a club in this town, Paul, called the Pussy Club.
And I am a privileged member. Gold card. I walk up to the
door and, "Oh - Swiss Toni. Come right on in". I've even
got a backstage pass.

its like a big harry enfield hangover. it might have been
funny in the 80s when there wasnt much else to watch.

the fast show had its moments when it was first on. by and
large i find its aged really badly. and they made too many
series without innovating enough.
smack the pony rarely raises a smile. i find a lot of it
quite weak - not because its not amusing, but because it
feels as though theyre trying too hard to be abstract. but a
lot of the puchlines/gags are painfully predictable.

father ted was great. quite a slow burner in that it took a
few episodes for me to fully sink into the mindset +
appreciate how good it was. sad that dermot morgan died. but
i felt it was good that they werent able to make any more
episodes. comedy shows have a tendancy to outstay their
welcome.

ive actually been to the show that "suits you" was based
on.

harry enfield? *shudder*

as unattractive as her character in real life.

The Channel 9 sketch from fast show is fantastic. Whenever
I'm in mediterranian countries (or even France) I like to
watch the terrestrial TV just to see how spot on the parody
is :)

Big train is good too and I don't mind watching the odd
episode of Smack the Pony too.

My current favourite comedy is Garth Merenghi's Dark place
Hospital. A sort of "acorn antiques" (French & Saunders)
type send up.

its funny - if you dont see any tv for a while+then sit down
to saturday night primetime tv in the uk, its frightening
how close it seems to the channel9 sketch.if you forget that
you understand what theyre saying - its a very strange
experience.
maybe..

dark place (what ive seen of it so far) is all good by me..

to get people out of the house and down the pub.
