welllll.....actually i didn't cos BELIEVE it or not i was able to get the DAY off....so i went to a BBQ relaxed with friends and well enjoyed the hot hot day! i'm actually very glad as some co-workers called who worked and said LAX (which i fly into almost every day of the week) was a nightmare because of the tragedy at the international terminal. didn't effect OUR terminal we fly out of, however lots of people missing flights cos they couldn't get to the airport! =( my name means literally 'the heart' in french. it was a nick name an Italian gave me because of a necklace with a RED HEART OF GLASS....that i purchased in Murano Italy. it was so lovely and unique i thought that would be a great nick and so it has been for the last 4 yrs! =0) no fireworks tho.....YOU? whacha do? |

cool... yeah i thought it was heart, but i wasnt sure i watched the NYC fireworks from the roof of my building. it was awesome... perfect view :) and about LAX... do you know anymore details? in the news i read, they didnt say who, or why he opened fire, if he was muslim or not, etc... any info? |

when i watched the news, the fbi, police department, etc. wouldnt give out any info on the suspect(s). they said they knew nothing about it at that time, but i think they did, they just didnt want to get anybody freaked or start mass-hysteria or somethin, especially with it being the 4th. |

i'll prolly find out more details when i next go to work. i know it was in terminal 3 the international terminal (LAX has 7 terminals..massive airport) and that it was an El Al security guard that shot and killed the armed man. also it was at the ticket counter which means ONE thing......he was armed however he had NOT gone through security yet...so thats good that they didn't miss a 'gun' and a 'knife' at the security check point. beyond that i don't know many more details. one of my friends said a passenger that came from the international terminal to fly on our airline....said he saw the bodies on the floor......*shudder* sad day....and some peeps were trampled in the panic to get out of the terminal, thats how they were injured! =( |

today sucked, the fire works were a bust, and the street dance got cancelled and the carnivval closed early. and i had to march for band, so that really sucked. |
