not to sound unappreciative, but i always have problems with
the search function. some searches just won't work, you get
thousands of matches for an obscure phrase like "duck sauce"
(just an example, i've never searched that)

exactly mr flappy.

searching posts by title and/or by user who posted it. would
enhance the search tool

Yeah I admit it that the search feature is not the most
advanced piece. It won't find words having less than 4
characters, and if you seek for multiple words, it will find
messages having the words separately.
I would like to improve it one day, so then you would be
able to search for messages having both words.

Yeah, I noticed that searching for SEX brought up every
single topic in the archive. Less than 4 letters... why
would I search for ''sex''? Why not?

The problem stems from if you change the combo box
after entering the text field.

the function that makes the text disappear when you click is
ok THE FIRST TIME ..If you made a search and want's to make
a slight correction in the search-words, it all disappears
and you have to retype it all..

It's all good tho'...

Yeah I made a long thread on the beta board about this. To
no avail though, we'll see what happens with xltronic!
