Just bought Double Figure yesterday.

just barely worth buying...
track 3 "assault on precinct zero"
and track 4 "Zamami"
are worth going back to again

the rest seems disappointing
like they've gone back on themselves
reverted to "warp" type. A bit pointless ; uninspired ;
repetitive.

Isn't doing much for me.
I also bought Analogue Bubblebath 3 (AFX)
which is far better. Buy that instead.
:)

i got AB3... doesnt do much for me :)

i dont know... this is the first Plaid release ive heard...
so it isnt like a let down after previous stuff...

i like it though...

nice and happylike

They called 'Double Figure' the last album of the 'Not for
Threes','Rest Proof Clockwork,'Double Figure' trilogy.
Pretentious, Self-indulgent or other. You decide.

bah, go back to AB3 tracks 1, 4 , 6 and especially 8.

nothing better than that on the hackneyed warp ass-lickin
Plaid double figure distraction

HOW DARE THEE COME HERE AND SUPERIMPOSE YOUR TASTES OVER THE
TOP OF THE APHEX TWIN (original master of artform )

You're wrong , and stultifyingly ill-informed ...

but I forgive you your "Clueless" Alicia Silverstone reposte
,

because I'm kind.

AB3 ! AB 3 ! AB 3 ! All else is fraud I tell you!!!:)

It's an awesome album, but I had to delete it to make way
for an 800MB Pi .avi file! Woe is me! I'll get it back
though.

Maybe I'll even buy it someday.

Hey, I had to walk a mile or two today to get to a job
interview, I'm not THAT bad.

Of course, I haven't crawled out of my subterranean cave
since...

whats the point in posting that ?
someone comes along who has a different opinion and you just
push them off with a blah blah blah ?

The 'abuse' was intended jokingly. I thought being a wizard
you might have magic-ed your way to seeing that

I thought the entire album from TAK 1 , and the final 11
tracks were aimless repetitive experiments that ripped off
just about every other IDM artist I heard. Black dog should
go back to their more enjoyable more ambient early work and
stop trying to be something their talents are beyond.

*IMO*
peace out aphex stylee

....I'll go back and listen to it again.

maybe I didn't like it because I was hung-over or something.
either way...... no offence intended. Disagreement is OK and
so is humour (intended)

sorry it must be the sense of humour bypass I built that
went straight over your head.

Yes, I am guilty. Guilty of malodious humour.
Apologies. I can be an asshole at times.

who needs morphine when you have the entire early works of
The Beatles ? HA!!

and who needs ANY drugs when you can have "Revolver" &
"Abbey Road" Hmmm... don't tell me the drugs didn't work
for THAT band , Mr Ashcroft :)

double figure is awesome...let it grow on you. and no its
not there last album ever. they have since released an ep
"PBrain" which is pretty cool too. its more like a single
though, 4 traks.

currently they are working on a new album which will be
released on DvD. they have a visual guy now and are writting
music to visuals / making visuals for music. should be
fucking awesome.

i think it will be the first album to utilise 5.1 channel
true surround. i meen, its being mixed in quadraphonic, not
just stereo.

Double figure is not my favorite.
'not for threes' has something very special, I like it
much.
On the other hand, I had a quick listen of p-brane ep and it
looks very good.

yikes I've heard it 3-4 times through now
Its growing on me
I like the sound of it as a whole more than the individual
tracks themselves ...

thanks for the advice to keep listening :)
