yaeh i went to see jeff mills a few years back and it was
niiice ;)

i love the old WARP releases, and also the old crazy
hardcore artists such as the reZerexion crew & bass
generator... like the early prodigy stuff (up to and
including jilted generation)...ummm...just stuff i heard
when i went clubbing every weekend, which stopped about 4
years ago...

808 State, Afrika Bambaata, and Kraftwerk were pretty much
the first electronica artists ever.

Also "Let Me Love You For Tonight" by Kariya is a very old
classic vocal house song, and a personal favourite of mine.

thanks forthe suggestions, keep churning them out!

Deathsmith-thanks for the Kraftwerk reference!! I checked
them out a while ago, and wasnt really impressed, but then I
heard The Mix...really fresh update with gorgeous
melodies....can tell how much they influenced Underworld.

Get the "Tresor - True Spirit" Album, its a 3 CD set with
some ol' techno shit.
Some tracks like "MB feat Juan Atkins - Die Kosmischen
Kuriere" are good, others are mediocre, some of em are pure
horseshit......

Oh and check out the Output of the KNITEFORCE label, they
were Breakbeat pioneers in the early ninties !

most of the older stuff came out on 12"s if you are talking
about dance musci or techno - early stufff innovator by
derrick may is a good comp of his stuff ... also on warp you
can still get pioneers of the hypnotic groove that has some
of the early singles on it - going back even further into
the history before tha t- there is a great compilation
called ohm the early gurus of electronic music with loads of
the more avant garde stuff on - also for early house mr
fingers is great even some of the disco stuff like larry
levan dubby stuff is ace if your're willing to get over the
gayness of it ...also kraftwerk of course are completley
essential - esp computer world..

the only early 90s techno i listen to is orbital and
underworld (and of course aphex twin and i'm listening to
some early lfo lately), but i listen to a lot of 60s and 70s
proto-techno on occasion too

have you heard their late 60s material? they have been thru
many phases -- maybe you heard a release such as "the tyger"
or "white eagle"? personally, i think "the tyger" sucks, but
i love their early material, and some of their later basic
synth-based material

Stereo MC's..last album..Deep Down and Dirty..rocks like a
