ok, what are your thoughts on this song if you've heard it? It's kinda cool, and sounds like some strange fucked up jazz or something, mixed with some strange fucked up beat-boxing... the beat-boxing doesn't really do much for me though, so it's one of my least favorite tracks on Supermodified so far... anyways, what does everyone else think? BTW: I fucking LOVE this album!!!! Amon Tobin is fantastic!!! |

yeah,dont get me wrong, the album is fucking fantastic,but that track doesnt really get me either....just seems like it was thrown together for a novelty act. Four Ton Mantis,Get Yo Snack On,Slowly,etc.-Great fucking tracks i want all of tobin's material :) funk:have you heard the Pirahna Breaks Ep yet? the title track is genius. |

Am I right in assuming that you're an Amon Tobin fan now? That track's alright... not one of my favorites, maybe my LEAST favorite by him because of the beat-boxing... but it's still pretty cool, not unlistenable. Check out Adventures in Foam by Cujo... Cujo being his alias. I think that's my favorite album by him overall. |

I took one listen to Supermodified..took it backand demanded refund..you go to the awesome site..and they portray it as the most futuristic sounding thing there...I was expecting something Autechreish...and the album is soo retro sounding.. blah... |

That's what I like about it... the retro feeling. Nightlife from Permutation has classic 50's lounge and jazz and big band sounds, a choir, mixed with kick ass beats... it's fucking perfect! |

I just enjoy the smorgasbord (sp?) or styles on it... it's crazy... it's jazzy, funky, classically, etc, etc... I dunno, I can't get enough of it... I think I like it more then my Autechre stuff at the moment... |

I fucking love that track. I told this story before but i'll say it again. I was searching for the precursor [coil] mix of NIN's "Closer" on audiogalaxy. Of course it was filtered so I kept trying variations and when I just put "precursor" in the search engine, that came out. It blew me away. I always describe it to people as "sounds like gremlins beatboxing.." |
