Crying to music

ok, ive never actually cried to music before... in fact,
the only time ive cried in the past 4 years is when my
friend almost died, and when i had hardcore depression...

but my point being... is Boards Of Canada makes me want to
cry so bad... but I cant... just because I dont cry unless
its horrible situations...

but they are just so buetiful, and so emotional, and i dont
know what to do with myself... i want to be happy, i want to
cry, i want to live in the worlds they create with thier
music.

i just want to cry and let it all out... but i cant...

sorry for rambling...

I kind of know what you mean, too, I get sad... nowhere near
crying, though. But if I was ever in a really sad situation,
BOC could set me off...

well, its not like im near crying... like the tears are
forming or anything... but just the emotion inside of me...
feels like i should be crying

Zeus: that exact thing happens to me all the time. I can
actually only think of one time that I've cried in the
past... approx. 4 years..

i don't think that any real IDM songs make me cry. they all
invoke diffrent emotions, but none really make me sad.

Tool — Sober is a song that would make me cry... i haven't
really cried for years now, but this song is the most likely
to make me cry...

Knockin'on Joe by Nick Cave is the most sad song i've heard
so far. Alot of the songs on Closer by Joy Division make me
feel pretty damn sad

Yeeeeikes, I'm just about to put on Sober... well, not
Sober, but Prison Sex... which is just before it... close
enough.

*cries

yeah...'we have a map of the piano' got me choked up in the
car twice today!
which isnt really too good for driving...

the weird thing is im not even depressed about anything or
have any reason to cry aside from the beauty of that song...

I find BoC extremely depressing...right now I want to listen
to one of their cds...but I can't...Someone stated here
before I think that hits your subconcious or something and
that is pretty true. It's like Ive KNOWN them all this
time!! Its like Im not surprised at their sound...which
makes me sad.

Hmmm I know what the first fellow is talking about. I
don't usually cry because I can't. . . but actually I have
cried to one or two Type O Negative songs I think, but I was
already sad to begin with.

Also the first night I even listened to Orbital by
Illuminate I actually cried while listening to it.

I believe I cried one time listening to the song As the
World Falls Down by David Bowie (it's from the Labrynth
sountrack :)) but that was because it was the favorite song
of a girl who recently had dumped me...

i almost cried when i broke up with my girlfriend of a year
and a half and the song it's all over now baby blue by them
/ van morrison was on the stereo.

there was one song that got me close, but i can't remember
it. i imagine bjork, sigur ros or boards of canada could do
it to me if there were enough emotions invested into it.

ah yes, men among men. coming to grip with our emotions.
the .nu board comes a little closer to eachother ...

I cry to music a lot and I'm not ashamed of it at all. to
me, listening to music and crying is just a healthy monthly
(or more often) exercise...it's a release. once it's done, I
know it's time to be happy, so I feel tons better.

The human voice is the only instrument which has made me
cry, it's not the words though for me it's the notation, I
even cry to Japanese music, if I listen to akino arai my
eyes always fill with tears, maybe just a single tear drop
lol

Most songs I've Cried to have been rock songs with strong
lyrics mostly pertaining to how I am feeling at the time.
Most of t;he time when it happens it is when I'm least
expecting it after a long night of drinking. It is also
usually a song i listened to the shit out of like 10-15
years back. Some include High&Dry Fake Plastic Radiohead.
R.E.M. E.L.O, Depeche Mode, etc.
