cock-verucca: this OS is shit, and nothing works at all:
even the cd player is crapping out on me, and the pc is only
2 weeks old. avoid this microsoft shitstain...

I have Windows 98... I don't see why I'd need anything else,
works just fine... plus I'm stubborn and horrified of
change.

I was stubborn and horrified of change, so for a while, I
was using a 300 mHz pentium II with a 1.4 gHz amd chip
sitting right next to me, the first with windows '95, the
good one with windows2000...oh my, how good change is.
phuk...oh man.

go learn? fuck you i build computers mate, XP is shit, it is
so microsoft biased, it often wont let you install programs
that dont have official xp signatures, of which nearly all
are microsoft: it uses well too much system power and it is
so glitchy: it crashes at least once daily, not just for me
but all the xp users i know, it is made by retards for
retards...

nah, mad glitches like restarting the computer when you
click on shutdown, openning about 50 quicktime windows for
the same video then freezing, telling me that i have run out
of audio channels for no reason: its virus free and an
official release but at least once a day it has a program
drop-out or serious crash: same thing goes for my friends
and girlfriend; they have all had problems with it: it is
dire for games too cos it doesn't properly support direct 3d
even tho it is linked to microsofts direct X... what a load
of old cock: 95/98 are much more stable and flexible and
allow you to actually tune your pc, but xp wont even let you
fix it...

Only problem I have is the thing crashing every once in a
while, not often... then it's just a matter of restarting,
which takes a minute. Why does everyone get so worked up
about OS wars?

i know there is the install anyways button but it wont let
you install drivers for the lots of the hardware extensions
you need: especially for simple programs like midi routers:
you can install the program itself but then not link it to
your hardware...

xp looks cool but my friend seems to have had a lot of
problems with it so I never got it. I have 98 and its
alright, I also had linux but I did something wrong while
installing it so it screwed my whole comp up and that ended
my linux days.

If you hate Windows, get a Mac, use Linux, or write your own
freakin' OS.

I've been using XP since one of the early betas and I've
found it to be the best Windows yet....very stable
indeed...

As for crashing...hmmmm..,,think I've had to do 2 reboots in
over a year; other windows versions (other than 2000) needed
to be reset constantly but now I can leave machines on for
weeks on end with no hassles....

As long as you've got decent hardware then XP is the way to
go...but always go for hardware & soundcards that have been
XP certified....quite a few of my musician friends have
tried upgrading from WIN98 and have had loads of problems,
all of em to do with old drivers or non-XP compatible
hardware....

SO if you're a confirmed WIN98 musician then stick with
that....

Its certainly the best ever version of Windows to date.
