Haha, titsworth, about 99% of the world's population
wouldn't get that joke, but I bet most of the people here
will!

I don't know why you all think they're sexual preditors.
They just collect them, keep 'em stashed away for later
source material, that's all. Didn't you look closely at the
etching on the vinyl version of Geogaddi, where Magic Window
is? The joke is on their kids -- the room they keep them in
doesn't have a window! Ha ha ha! Boc are such jokers,
really! Come on...

oh its all bullshit, people have been over this so many
times on the IDM list and it was just shown to be stupid.
BoC are merely referring to the innocence of childhood, and
pretty much recreating it in their music

I read a bit of an interview with them recently when they
were promoting Geogaddi. They said they were into the
nostalgia of their childhoods; hence the name (from the film
company who made wildlife programmes they used to watch as
youngsters). Also the pics in the cover of A Beautiful
Place... give it away.

is such a bait.

i like using kids in my tracks too - i've scoured the
internet for kid wave files -- even sampled my old flat
mates kids once - it just sounds great, and be used eerily
too

Okay folks, I'm still a junior (this post might just take me
to "regular") and I'm finding this RECURRING topic lame and
tired.
I appologize for my gaff about the spectrograph, my CD-ROM
doesn't even work properly. I find the voices of children in
the background the symptom of a Safe Place. BoC and FourTet
use these samples to create the (illusion) of a safe and
stable environment. Anyone who continues to pursue this
limited, and maybe a little bit immature, topic needs to
have their own hard drives scoured for kiddie porn!

This is my last post on any thread of this topic.

"Music Has The Right To Children is a statement of our
intention to affect the audience using sound."

as for the cover art, let's just say they're heavily inpired
by The Incredible String Band", and have done, what is
concidered to be, several "copycat" pictures, based on
TISB's cover art

me neither, seems coincidental. besides, i doubt BoC
actually shot the cover of the album. prolly found it and
photoshopped it. twoism is of course a borrowed photo (from
a movie), doubt this is much different.

but i do think they were influenced by that band musically.

yeah but there is a dog on the incredible string band's
cover.

POW

blew that theory out of the water!

ZING!!!

oh, wait. the dog is a reference to the meats on the
spinner at 7-11. boc are protesting the rolling meat
heater.

ahh it's so clear to me now. thanks for opening my eyes Zeus

I'm here as another witness.. this topic is beyond tired.
Interesting, but old and getting to be annoying. I like
kids, and yeah, it's fun to think about the sinister things
that could go on behind the scenes of Boards of Canada, but
seriously folks.. these are just talented people trying to
hold on to some remnant of chilhood like I so often do.
Maybe they have a few repressed pedophilic tendencies, but I
think alot of folks do. These are rarely enough to really
worry about methinks and almost never enough to act on. I
think Boards of Canada are the last people to worry about
frankly.
