I dont know Eternal but I certainly know Stereolab and A.T.
is the only record they have released on Warp. I - on the
other hand - have the Japanese edition, released on the
Groups own label: Duophonic.

Well, you have bands like Broadcast and Tortoise broadening
the spectre of what is Warp... Post rock goes well with
electronica....

does anyone own these releases, or otherwise shed light on
the subject?

Aluminium Tunes is great! Not as good as "Refried Ectoplasma
volume II" thouhg, but still a decent Stereolab comp....
Essential for any fan....

Eternal? Must be something else than the girly band....
There is also a boy band called LFO, you know...

That Eternal is not the Eternal you're thinking of. but that
Stereolab is. Aluminium Tunes was first released on
Duophonic and then under licence to Warp. Bizarrely.

i'm not sure why groups like stereolab and tortoise have
been licensed to warp, i guess cos at the time of their US
album releases they didn't have distribution in the UK.
they're two great bands but they really have little to do w/
warp asides from red snapper and broadcast.

That Eternal was Mark James and David Walker, and that ep
was licensed from Vicious Vinyl. Don't know if they did much
else. There was an EP called Power of a woman, or somesuch.
I guess they just didnt care that a more recent (and more
attractive) bimbo combo appropriated the name.

I was curious about the Stereolab release too, since they
have their own label for distribution in the UK.

Here's what their site says: "Duophonic Ultra High Frequency
Disks released the UK version. Drag City released the disks
in North America and Warp released the disks in the rest of
the world."

speaking of stereolab, one of my favorite rappers, common,
is wearing one of their t-shirts in this picture of him at a
recording studio taken in the last few days!
